Speaking of which I'm really trying to do that more with Rockman 8. Rockman 8 and X4 are probably the most messed up games by Yong Yong / Makon Soft. I mean Super Mario Special 3 is pretty badly screwed up and so is Sonic Adventure 8, but that's just because they were bad ROM dumps. Makon Soft's Rockman games are ACTUALLY THAT SCREWED UP. There is actual cartridge footage that is very similar to the ROM. So the ROM is dumped a bit worse, but it fails to work correctly on some emulators (like VBA, and BGB), and so both the cartridge and ROM are just about as failed on the programming. It seems like I think Li Cheng has made a fixed version under as "Rockman X3". Yes, they're tricking people to thinking to buy Vast Fame's Rockman X3 (Rockman DX3, Zook Hero 2), when it's really a fixed version of Rockman 8. Ironically, Li Cheng made a fixed version of Zook Hero 2, as "Rockman 3".

I don't mind this one getting closed too.

You can close this post, now. I'm getting better with programming (with GameBoy language), than I was then. I'll get to doing that (maybe) soon.

I've read this entire thread... WTF?
The vaguest possible description of their problem and still no pic?
Who the hell doesn't have at least one digital camera at their disposal?

Most likely just resin/rosin. It should be harmless to the circuit, but you can clean it with isopropyl alcohol if you like.

Well, I've been trying to scratch that stuff off with a pushpin, in between the chips. Also, it actually IS harming it, if there is too much coming out.

Does it look anything like this?

Somewhat, if you were to count the GameShark cartridges, that were doing the same thing, but worse. (There's another post, about the GameSharks.) Here, it's AS bad, in the picture.

I bet you, no troll, it's the cart battery seeping acid out.

Is that a joke? Or are you being serious? I know it's not the battery. It's coming out from the chips.

wax hardens when it cools.

It is suspicious that all your carts are leaking "wax". You should probably quit whatever deviant behavior you are engaging in with your carts and get professional help.

If you mean that I maybe throwing the cartridges around, like a little kid, that's NOT what I'm doing. No, I never threw the cartridges around the room, like that. But, I have no idea, who could help.

yo it's 2013 how are you possibly unable to take a picture and post it for a week

*sigh* I'm going to borrow a camera soon. At the moment, I can't show what it looks like.

maybe your lsdj beats are too hot, it melts the cart?

Uh... actually I don't have LSDJ... at the moment.

How would that affect it? O_o

do the chips in a GameBoy cartridge actually get hot?

Well, I've never felt the GameBoy cartridges getting hot, but that is a good point. That might be the case. Who knows?

arfink wrote:

Also, who the heck puts wax inside gameboy carts? Unless you had it in your ear, I don't think that's wax bro...

I never said that I PUT that "wax" in it. It's obviously having seepage from chips. It's like it melts out, sort of. D: Also, I have no idea what the substance is, but it's something that the manufacturers put onto the chips on the 'cartridge board'. Somebody said though, if it was yellow, it might have been flux, but this substance is clear.

Thanks! There's a backlight in it already, it's orange.

Well, I mean using the same, or similar backlight, to those consoles, posted in last comment. Anyways, you're welcome. big_smile

Try and take a picture and post it here, then I'm sure people will stop saying you're a troll.
g2g watch some shark week.

Well, like I said (with the other comment), I don't necessarily have a camera to borrow at the moment.

Although Spew is the second most disgusting word i can think of, let's use the first most disgusting word i can think of, "seepage".

The slow escape of a liquid or gas through porous material or small holes.

Sorry, I try to use a little more "appropriate" words. Even though, the context there is where it seems "dirty", when really the context, I'm using is not "dirty".
