The only negative thing I can think of about this, is that there will be a shit ton more threads of people announcing they posted a single track on soundcloud or what have you

Didn't Cave Story take six years? Just saying

I wasn't demanding a finished version, I just asked what was going on with it, cause I hadn't seen any updates.

Thanks for being just like every other forum troll on the internet.

Trolls post incorrect facts or unpopular opinions in the hopes of getting people upset at them. Even if these guys were being regular dicks, which they weren't, troll is the wrong word.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with correcting incorrect information, especially if it can end up hurting someone else's gear.

so, since this patcher breaks the flash memory up into pieces, it probably wont work with LSDJ at all.

flash memory is 1 megabit, which is 128k, which is the size of an LSDJ save file.

Yeah, I mean it's basically Foil then that thin layer of plastic, then the super thick glass (i think) that displays the pixels. With the backlight you only need the glass to display the pixels. Basically the reflective surface works as a solar backlight, adding a backlight removes that need.

The silver foil layer is attached to the thin plastic one. The easiest way is to remove them both by getting a razor blade under the plastic one. The foil layer reflects the pixels, the backlight basically replaces that with light.

All the shows I play are BYOB cause I got big pockets.

This is dumb (the lack of posts / interests i mean)

Mine hasn't been shipped or paid for WTF

I mean, the video out on my SMS works, there are some sort of... I don't know how to explain it. The video is a little strange, but also works fine. I have no idea how to describe it now that I think of it. BUT it's a japanese system, which might effect it somehow, and also it's on an old TV / VCR combo that might have its own problems. Tomorrow I'll hook it up to another TV and see if it's still wonky, I just don't feel like lugging the voltage converter around at 5AM.

Also this is all for an SMS so I can't really say it'll be the same for a C64. But as long as you're not doing anything to the video pin on the board, I dunno why video wouldn't work.

Couldn't you also figure out where each pin from that connects on the actual board and solder audio to that? I added a headphone jack to my SMS, which uses that same 5 pin AV out set up.
