Haha. It's a bit derailed but I /am/ at least trying to help you with your goal of having bass and convincing snare running at essentially the same time tongue

smile you'll go to paradise for this!!

Edit: Haha, this topic is a bit derailed, huh?

yes it is smile

but anyway sharing your experience is really cool and useful to me, thanks a lot!

I don't really see though how to use the above table, it's a wave kick right ?
and this layout make it ''fade'' into bass in order to make ''as if'' bass was running longer ?

now you do realise how thick I am with trackers subtelties ^^

got some spare/quiet time at lunch today, will try all your Jedi tricks on the proper gear and see where it brings the whole thing

Also I dont know if you know how to create a kick/bass, but basically I like to put a Pitchbend with a high TSP on the first few rows of a table and then throw a pitch-bend off and a quick TSP to reset the pitch to get the bass tone.

wow... would it be abusing to ask you for a quick table example of this ?

I've mainly been using A3 env with AE shape. In the table I have this for the middle column:

cheers mate, noted

post us an example of the sound you're looking to create

yep, yep,

sorry guys, I should actually have started with this... will reccord siomething as soon as i get back home (looooong time that is sad )

well to be honnest I first don't have the motivation to get all this gear... and overall

- I have a very little use of the GMB compared to my other instruments
- can't think about bringing a lot of gear along with me as I mostly play music outside, and game boy is the ''when I have 2mn free'' instrument

If I can't find what I want with this configuration (the ''whip snare'' is not really what I'm searching for) I'll go back on Wave fat-Kick+909snare+shitty bass with some additional  noise clap and PU1bass as I do now

I will have a try on this:

instead of noise+pulse, you can do noise+wav and make a table for your wav bass that has an attack that layers over your noise snare to give it more body

even if it's looks a bit ''how do I do that?'' to me

thanks anyway for all the cool advices!

Make it smack you in the face, whip you in the butt. *FW'PAH! *

yes! this!

909+NOI used to give me this, but have to find another way now

Try going from a deep tone to a higher tone

not sure about what you mean... going from low to high in the TPS column, right ?

assuming this is LSDJ

oups, sorry, yes, most definitely is

a S command really quick [...] make sure your noise type is free instead of stable [...] where you put a really quick left to right

mm... going to give this a try, thanks

then you'll get a really big sound going.

that's the goal... this will go through GMB > bass multi effect (comp+bit of equalisation+lamp amp emulation) > 150WW bass amp

I want the whole neigbourhood to shiveringly remember the next rehearsal for the next 4 generations...

Hi,

I'm starded to be happy with the way of organising instruments among the 4 chans... \o/

I still though have a last smallish issue: I used to layer a 909 sample with a noise clic to get a snare sound that actually pleased me A LOT

but I have to free some space on wav chan for more invading bass drops and get rid of the 909 samples

I've tried to mess up with P commands and transpose in a table on the noise side... but can't find something else than a rather crappy weacky ''mario-like'' clappy sound so far... yerk

not the actual end of the civilized world... but...

any idea of a table to get some real convincing snare on NOI only ?
there surely is a way... surely it's even rather simple and in front of my eyes... sad

yep! yep!

10mn to go for reaching the dalily end of filthy work, bit of driving to bring myself home-sweet-home...

and then > beer(s) and chord fun \o/

sounds fairly good for a rainy monday evening.

looks really cool, just tried a few mn at break, i love the ''instrument feeling it give to the gray box!!
been searching for seach an app to fill the B face, it's the first one that seduces me so much

I got though another very stupid question : do you have some kind of a user guide, explaining each mode / function and how far we can go with it ?

could make great bass lines, just using 4 fingers right hand and modulating with the cross pad...

EDIT
*sorry just realised that I did not scrolled down enough *doh!²*

i'm just simply going to make a paper ball out of myself and jump into the wastebasket*
