Should be doable by extracting the song from the ROM into something like a tfm file then importing it into Deflemask which makes it easy to see/change modify instrument settings.

Correct. Should be set to 128kb

Buddy, you've made it big. Congrats. smile

Written for my friend Mandy (who is the flute player) last semester, have played this for two crowds at my University and gotten extremely good reception. Finally recorded and mixed it, and it will be featured soon on and album carried by Centaur, one of the top Classical music labels.

Any feedback is appreciated, the piece was tons of fun to write and one terribly hard dog to mix.

I used to have an issue with one of my old carts where it seemed like it no longer read or wrote to the cart despite the program telling me it did. The cart was the issue, not the program hmm hopefully your luck is better than mine

Latency is already an issue with my laptop , playing with simple vst's.

Latency is also an issue if you don't configure your sample buffers correctly in your DAW. Make sure they are configured correctly, for me it's the difference between a functioning and a non-functioning setup.

I have successfully used a USB keyboard with a laptop to play my Gameboy. You can't simple use a MIDI controller due to power source neccessity and the general lack of choice over what MIDI channel to operate on. You need to use a DAW or similar software as a middleman, but latency shouldn't be an issue.

I genuinely hope your scars heal, that halfassed Gameboy stays in your possession, and that eventually you'll learn your lesson.

Cheers.

Bump for relisted Pokemon games with lowwwwwwwwwww selling price.

Your first problem is the title - assuming that mods over-patrol these forums. Personally, I see a massive lack of moderation relative to how many moderators we have (though most aren't active).

Me playing with Matt Owen and the Eclectic Tuba on their tune "Hyperdrive." Swing was a little whack but overall an awesome opportunity to play with a live band big_smile sadly the video cuts out before the tuba playing hmm

Nice! Does it also output standard midi on teensy uart? Or: would it be hard to tweak the code for it?

I believe you would have to build your own for that. The guys at noizeinabox could probably answer this better.

It does not output standard MIDI by default, the code on the Teensy is rather heavily modified to fit the USB standard. HOWEVER I have been looking into supporting both USB and standard MIDI jacks and it SEEMS to be possible. I'm not sure if it would use a Teensy 2.0 vs the ++ or 3.0 model, but there should be adequate resources to make such a project in the future. If I had extra money to throw around I'd be all over this but I have a few other projects occupying my time. I know noiseinabox would have more to say about this!

Just want to say that I have tested this thing rigorously - thrown it in bags, used it for live shows. Using it in a friend's Ableton setup was literally plug and play right before a live show. Will upload footage in a bit after I get home from school.

This is THE go-to USB device for Gameboys. Literally plug and play, worthy of a spot in my home setup.

Haha yea thats a good one too. The main problem is that link cables are super short, so the drummer would have to be in charge of the gameboy.

Not necessarily. 10 ft 1/8" cable and a competent guitarist or bassist could help. (lolz)

iirc the Arduinoboy software makes MIDI IN to the Gameboy also double as MIDI THRU via the MIDI OUT port.

Guys. Link cable goes to second Gameboy with LSDJ cart, sending a tick created on one of the channels. Not hard to make a faux 2xLSDJ setup work this on a budget.
