Cool shit only happens when you just decide it's going to.

I'm smiling heartily and opening Live right fucking now. New songs EVERYWHERE on Memorial Day. :-D

why are you selling the entrancer.. didnt you just get that thing? and really like it?

I do, but I've just come to the realization that between having viz artists around and being able to do visuals with modul8/processing, that it would be beneficial to me to sell the Entrancer and use the money for something more suitable to my set. It's such an awesome tool, but I'm more ears than eyes when it comes to gear. :-)

Hey guys, just putting this stuff up here for now so I can get the list out of my head. I'm at a friend's house and will provide pictures most likely tomorrow, but I figured I'd put it up in case anyone wants to secure something for themselves. I'm going to see if I can get some good cash for the Entrancer, so I may entertain offers after I get one.

Korg Entrancer (video Kaoss pad) - $700 obo
I'm missing the power adapter, and will get the specs on what type it would need when I get back to my house. Pretty sure it's a special Korg 7V adapter, I will get the amperage rating off of it as well.

Peavey KBA/100 100W 3-input keyboard amp: $150 obo
15-inch speaker, 1 XLR-1/8" combo and 2 1/8" only inputs. Reverb built in, power amp in, hopefully you can pick this up in/near Boston. Otherwise I'll sell it to the smelly guys at the music shop, but I want to offer it because it's reeeally nice for chip sounds.

Casio DG-20 Digital MIDI Guitar (busted top frets) - $300 obo
The 5 frets closest to the headstock are taped up and don't respond well (I bought it like this), there could be some easy work under there to replace sensors under the touchpad fretboard, but I've been too afraid to open it up and look. The G string will stay triggered if it's hit on a patch that has sustain. These may all be easy fixes, but I don't trust myself to not make things worse. Pictures coming soon.

If I come up with anything else, I'll most likely just update the thread title and add it here. If you have any questions, just reply to the thread or hit me at [email protected] for any private inquiries.

Cheers!
-Chris

Neil has a link to the ntrq website on the page 7 with an e-mail address to contact. Hope I didn't just knock myself out of the running for beta testers. ;-)

Is there a problem posting with Google Chrome? I just had this page refresh itself on submit 3 times with no new post for me, I guess I'll go check out the bugs/feedback forum.

For a brief second, that was the scariest thing to see when I got up there. I fixed it by starting the first song and spazzing right out. :-)

We've got our work cut out for us in Feb/Mar, but I'm putting you down in a magical list of "figure this out" things - can you PM me your e-mail address?

I would want that immediately, how does it interface exactly?

Fake edit: Youtube vid sez joypad input and PC LPT - Mac guys are always left in the dust... ;-) MIDI control for MD would be spectacular, can someone point me to progress on little-scale's interface? I think I was following progress on an outdated thread somewhere.

So Sega sub-thread then? I've been heavily interested in keeping tabs on Sega progress as accessing the Genesis would be my Nirvana. However, I understand the idea that there are already threads about little-scale's progress that have a lot of history and wouldn't be worth recreating and splitting it up.

I still vote Sega forum, it only fits in with the rest of the Hardware/Software stuff. Then again, I didn't create an awesome chipmusic website and drop it on the masses now did I?

I'm ripping videos now, this was really the most incredible thing I've ever been a part of. Thanks to everyone that helped us make it happen, we've got more where that came from. :-)

Lots of awesome information in these links, thanks a lot for contributing everybody. I guess my main inquiry revolved around *why* there wasn't a lot of stuff going on with the SNES, and apparently it's because working with the system would be similar to just downsampling stuff in Live. I'm going to go over a lot of this stuff and see if there's anything worth it, but I assume I'll just do what I was originally planning on and start down the Genesis/MD path. :-)

Was this the site auto-checking the URL you posted, or did you say that yourself?

I figured since this is an NES/SNES forum, I'll ask the question - is the only way to create SNES sounds via sampling or Mario Paint? I could probably go on a Google ADD journey today and figure out what the situation is, but I figured I'd see if there's anyone knee deep in it that could give me some resources to look at. I'm looking for anything that can be midi-synced, but options are pretty open at this point.
