I always liked the music on ecco the dolphin. I'ts very ambient and dreamy. I'm not gonna embed anything cuz they're like 8 minutes long.

Nobody has mentioned basic 64, although I think that's at the woolys site. It's one of my favorites. 4 waveforms with 3 OSC and 2 LFOs. It also has a wobble effect (not like dubstep) where the pitch is slightly and randomly put out of tune, like a bad tape or something. I think the developer is De La Mancha and it can be found at the KVR audio site

BBC documentary (i think) called "century of the self". It's really interesting and is about how freud's nephew used his principles and applied them to marketing/public relations/propaganda. He was a huge success and the practices are still in place today. It's an awesome documentary

Normally not too 8-bit of a sound, but the arp in this one really sounds chippy. This song is maybe top 5 of the last decade in my opinion, but that's just me. The Animal Collective is probably my favorite group right now. great mix of all genres and tones.

What cartridges do people prefer to use with a gameboy? I'm thinking about getting into making chiptunes with a nanoloop or lsdj and I'm wondering what is most reccomended. I know the lsdj is discontinued but there are always some on e bay. Which one should I buy ?

Aphex Twin is a REPLICANT!!!!
but seriously, both are great, but my vote is Aphex for sure. I think the richard d. james album is one of the best ever made.
