somebody should totally start a label for weird sampletracker music with releases as source files.

highly recommended:

http://www.scene.org/file.php?file=%2Fm … p;fileinfo

mori from japan is mistakenly listed as a 'group' (of many artists) but he's actually just that awesome.

and just for kicks, my first release ever:

http://www.scene.org/file.php?file=%2Fm … p;fileinfo

wonderful. more .it source releases plz smile

handy archive containing most IT/XM releases from inpuj.net:
http://www.eerikinpujsound.com/legacy/inpujv1.zip

probably the biggest single cache of high quality sampletracker music:
http://www.scene.org/dir.php?dir=%2Fmusic%2Fgroups

my favorite tracker label from the 90s:
http://www.scene.org/dir.php?dir=%2Fmus … ps%2Fmilk/

personally what bothers me more is when artists that were never even chiptune related to begin with are labeled as chiptune. yo know like, when someone just throws a couple square waves in their music. but i guess first you gotta define what "chiptune" is to you.

yeah, that, like, totally sucks and all.

Love this! I have a question about the artwork though, it looks like the poster got damaged slightly, Was it an accident or did it happen on porpoise?

According to the artist, he found it while living in a van down by the river. [/farley]

I think the general advice was avoid arts-related faculties and unaccredited "recording" programs offered by technical for-profit colleges.
Definitely go to university.

I sleep about 3 hours a night trying to pull a simple 3.0 GPA.

Sleep less, that 3.0 will get you exactly nowhere.

He's right; if you're in north america avoid any "technical college" that offers programs in audio production like the plague.
