Analog sync?

The rom check is something LSDJ does the first time the cart boots. My guess is that some issue only affecting higher sectors (like a bad sector, or possibly pins becoming desoldered or something). LSDJ is one of only a few roms that use 1mb flash storage, and the only one I know of that actually attempts to verify the rom image.

Was the rom you flashed the one from here? https://catskull.net/erase-an-ems-64-us … -cart.html

You could try flashing that rom, then dumping it again and comparing the roms in a hex editor to make sure it's all 1's and no 0's. You could also do the same thing but change the rom to write all 0's and do the same thing. My guess is somewhere near the end of the dumped rom, you'll see bad data.

FYI this is in past events but it looks like it should be in upcoming events

I have compiled mGB from source to just 32k. It removes the SRAM functionality, and also the color scheme (it's just greyscale). It's what I include on my mGB carts. Here's the rom if anyone else wants it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2JWZ … XBPZTkyVDg

Confirmed: it's a radix/xyce/malmen collab track unreleased except for in this video!

sounds like xyce to me, not sure which track

I fully believe this is real and will be released, but the screen in that picture totally looks like a piece of paper! Maybe just a mock-up?

Still this is way more real than the hyperkin "totally not just a backlit Gameboy pocket" smile

Couple general debugging steps:
- Is the teensyboy in mgb mode? You change modes by pressing the little silver button near the edge until the light labelled "mgb" flashes.

- Which link cable are you using? Is it the green one you got from me?

- Are you sending midi data on channel 1-4? The green light flashes on any midi data, but mgb won't respond to it. The one of the red lights will flash if you're sending data on the right channels.

Also worth noting that GMU player has been added to the latest firmware bundle.

Ah nice! Looks like no prime shipping but still a good deal. I played through about 1/3 cave story the other night and overall I just really like the handheld.

If you buy one I'd recommend putting the firmware on the internal SD card. Mine came with a 4gb card that is what the firmware needs. Then just put your roms and music on the external card.

It's included in the firmware I linked in the first post.

I see it's on backorder already...

Okay so this is pretty embarrassing...

When I went to SST I added a note about the being "backordered" just to basically say that shipping times would be delayed because I'd be gone. Then I came back and had a gazillion orders so I left it, but last weekend I pulled a marathon and am now totally caught up. I removed the message last weekend, but people kept asking when orders would ship, if it was backordered, etc. I couldn't figure out what was going on.

I just realized I removed the message, but the button you click to actually buy it still says "Backorder". D'oh. I fixed that.

And just a general FYI, basically nothing I sell is ever "backordered" or even out of stock. I hand assemble everything to order (meaning I don't stock a large amount of assembled products at any given time, just the parts to build them). So the only factor in shipping times is how quickly I can build and test your order while working full time and raising two kids. I like to think I'm pretty reliable, but when I'm literally not in the country all I can do is set expectations about shipping times.

But yeah TL;DR is these will be available forever as long as I can physically build them and ship them. I like to think my track record is enough to ask for people's trust, but if you're still not comfortable just don't buy it!
