Hmm. HMMMmmmMMmm. I don't mean to offend, but is this some kind of crazy meta joke?

PS - Nice subliminal Fallout 1 ad.

EDIT: My only constructive feedback is really to keep making songs. You'll learn through experience. That said, this is super rough; both compositionally and sonically. How are you recording this to the PC? None of the bass frequencies come through.

This is a brilliant idea.

I think we need Chip Butt Rock

bought it, but only for a dollar cause Jay Tholen sucks and he didn't sync his electric solo right

irl: good job tho really :0)

PS - you misspelled it "concers" instead of "concerns" sad

correction: you're not that awful, but I did infact grant your wish tongue . Yeah, you kinda hit the nail on the head. Except I'm fine with avante-garde, I just find your music fairly uninteresting (also,  don't perceive me not liking your music as an attack on your character)

also, thanks for the compliment big_smile

fair enough smile

Rip on me dude, RIP ON ME.

okay, you're awful.

Ew dude. Bad reason.

My feeling (from reading your review of that dude's album) is that you're perceiving me as someone who is largely image based (ie, L@@K I'm CRAZYyyyrandom SoUnDzz dude ) with very little tangible skill. I also sort of sense that you hold on to musical orthodoxies that filter me out as a 'legitimate artist'. Those things may be true to a degree, they don't make me objectively awful.

Also, I like your music so whatever.

perhaps more rhythms than an ambient-purist would like.

it's all C64 though. but hopefully that doesn't matter.

Ha, I voted for this under some category for the TCTD awards a few months ago. Fantastic. smile

You say you like Moog synths and the sound of a Mellotron?

Check out Isao Tomita's work from the 70s and 80s. He did a lot of versions of classical music plus some of his own compositions using a Moog modular, mellotron and other synths.

eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B3TwSeo … re=related

My two cents.

This guy is blowing my mind. Thanks dude.

I heard that if you go on the main page of iimusic.net and purchase 5 copies of the 5th most recent release you'll pretty much instantly get put on the roster along with a 5,000 dollar contract.

I use an old GTX keyboard, Famitracker and Ableton live. Some stuff I record to cassette tape and back to da computer for some extra grittyness though. So yeah, fakers unite. You're fine dude.

Made a crappy thread? Not being a jerk, but at least pose a genuine question or provide some kind of worthwhile content or something. This has none of that.

Just avoid using defaults and presets (unless they're completely transparent) and you're good. Play with the sounds! And don't listen to Spotts, analog delay + chip sounds = dreamy.

I don't want to post too much cause a lot of the game involves visual storytelling and it could spoil surprises! :0)
