You can use foobar, or even audio overload as alternatives to winamp, am i right?
I use foobar to listen to a diverse variety of modules.

In that way, yes.

But actually you guys are taking it TOO serious. I am healthly trolling.

It takes different aproaches, as in the example of languages. Yes.
They keep the same basic function? Yes.
What does that brought into giving something good to this thread? Nothing.

It really matters that much in which software you make music?
I can make the same stuff - forget the fiters - in milkytracker that I can in LGPT?

And most important: why there are so few new MOD/XM artists?

What makes you think that? Do you have the hard numbers, or are you just making an observation based on the relatively few artists you encounter on 8bc and here?

Observation.

No.

And yes it is, in a broader sense of making music.
Or you can say sheet music is not sequencing notes?

I agree with you, Huesuedo. Actually I agree that modules are easier and smaller to share, are "open source" and etc. Famitracker do the same. LGPT, despite not compressing the samples into a modue is easy to share too. I did that a few times. And I love module trackers, is just not my weapon of choice and I think most people just don't overlook, they just don't want to or are too frightned to use. And I heard that a lot, I say that a lot.

The issue is people looking at it and not being afraid of using it. If they ike it, great. If not, well, that's ok.

I actually consider my liveset as a DJset per se. I'm not singing - I did that and Pulselooper heartly disencouraged me hahaha - and not playing keytars/boards or any shit.
If Daft Punk can do that, well, fuck me.

Hope you're right. Otherwise we all see dead acts?

You sequence numbers/notes. It doesn't matter how, is all sequencing.

Whatever the live mode. I use both on LSDJ and Piggy.

But the point is: xm/mod artists are a few today cause people just don't know about it. I used it, mostly cause I like messing with samples. I loved protracker and I would love to mess with octamed.

I have some xm stuff, but what appeals to me, and - what it seems - the most people out there, is that LSDJ, Nanoloop, Piggy, or whatever, looks better to work. Looks more friendly.

Also, to spice the discussion, I think that famitracker is just the same as any xm/mod tracker. And I think the ratio of fami people to mod/xm people are almost equal.
And using any sequencer is exactly the same as any tracker.

So all of the discussion about live mode or whatever is pretty useless and deviated too much from the initial discussion.

To some is preference, to others is lack of knowledge.

Not even 30 minutes, a few minutes are enough to me at work. I come, see threads, work a bit, come back and if there are new posts, I see them.

You can do, but I think it's more fun to press start and select than to press enter and let it scroll.

Also, I know you can change patterns on the fly, I know about those possibilities, I just don't like them. And I see why people prefer LSDJ live style, is easier to see and mess with.

Actually is a defective cart, it doesn't work. Kitsch warned me about it and that's really ok.
