Considering the amount of times I've listened to this album, this was an offer I could not refuse. Thanks

Re: How is your local chiptune community? (430 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Ok, so every time I see these chiptune shows around I think "dang how did they actually get this stuff out of the interwebz?" Seriously though, if I try to show any of my friends any chipmusic at all, the only feedback I get is "TURN DEM POKEMAN SOUNDS OFF, BOI".
So to the point. I'm curious, how has the evolution of chiptune outside of the webz been going so far and how is the chipcommunity in your area? Obviously it is underground as phuck and all that shit, I just get more and more interested in how all this stuff works.
I'll start
Welcome to the Norwegian chiptune community.

Det finnes flere enn du tror, men det er nok en del som kommer og går.
Send meg en beskjed, kanskje vi kan finne på noe en dag.

Re: Tips for my first live performance? (51 replies, posted in General Discussion)
My tip: don't fuck up.
Actually, I've fucked up before, but since my sets have been straight from old hardware, it seems like audiences don't mind. It's like fuckups with old hardware triggers a nostalgiabomb.
My tip; try not to look bored. I've seen a few photos of myself on stage, and you can't tell from an audiences perspective if I'm bored or if I'm just concentrating.

Maybe I'm contradicting myself. I'm not sure if talentshows like this, are doing anyone a favor, but its nice to see at least some recognition for this type of performances from a broader audience. It leaves me to wonder though, if anyone would have a chance without any additional instruments as a gimmick?
Nontheless, good on you Theremin Hero!

Re: discussion: the creative commons ND license (36 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I tried to change the licensing of my tracks just now since I noticed I hadn't put much thought into it, and all my tracks have different licenses. But it seems I don't have that option. Or, am I doing it wrong?

At Blipfest Scandinavia last year, this soundwoman made it crystal clear that she didn't like my music, and it was all recorded on the stream

Re: Do you ever compose an entire track from scratch "in-medium?" (46 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I always write in-medium nanoloop, intirely from scratch, usually starting off with a bassline in the S-channel. After using nanoloop for quite a few years now, I tend to know which direction to go when I'm listening for sounds to use, but I find new sounds every time I use it by just playing around. Theres always something new to be discovered. And starting from scratch on each new track, really enhance that experience. I've had little success when trying to convert pieces into nanoloop, so I've basically given up on that. If im tracking for other projects not chiprelated, I'm using a midiboard.

all songs are made to fit one bank each, just to give you an idea of what it can store. you are considering getting a cart i persume.
if your not into unts, i did a calm intro for disassemblers "My Plastic Heart" which can be found here; http://sect7.net/releases/ ...
disassembler is also an avid nanolooper. you should have a listen.

Man there are infinite comebacks for that!
I didn't want to risk my health, or my gear, by making a witty remark. His comment already felt hostile.

"Thats the most stupid thing I've ever seen!", when he realized I was playing the music from my gameboy. It was during a gig in my hometown, I actually felt kinda threatened, fearing they would kick my ass and smash my gear...
I've also heard terms like "Circus-music" and "Clown-music".
