The Glowing Stars is talking about being on the East Coast then. This could be a Rad possibility!

Stickers, buttoms ad patches are cheap mainstays. T-shirts are probably cheaper than you think, if you can get or make a good design.

Special edition physical album packaging is usually great too - creatively packaged CDs or flash drives with bonus material, etc - hand made stuff

Whatever you plan on making, START NOW because whether you hand make or order, it takes real time to p produce things. You've always got to think ahead.

Also, come up with a clever way to draw people's attention to your merch on a dark table in the corner of the venue. We use an NES running logoNES as a price list - people really notice it from a distance and it draws them in!

Oh also, when you do get the chance, load LSDJ onto both sides of the cart. Less hassle that way.

It's interesting that you found a modding attempt at the flea market - this is the first time I've heard of that happening. Could we finally be reaching critical mass of modded vs. unmodded gameboys?

Where was the flea market?

That would be amazing! Looking forward to it!

I'm the opposite. Can't stand braids, work great with desoldering pumps. smile

That circuit is for a spring reverb, bro. I need some cheap DSP shit that's like, way tiny! You'll never fit a spring tank in a 1/3 rack! Thanks though. wink

Oh yeah, that's way too big. sad

I think I'm pretty much looking to find a picoverb. I just can't justify much space for monitor reverb.

Alley, thanks but that Yamaha is way too big! Trying to keep it down to a shallow 1/3 rack or so.

prof, how big is the wedge? I haven't seen one in person.

That's awesome!

There' GOT to be a way to do this with Reason, I can't believe that Reason wouldn't be willing to output a multi channel MIDI file.

But personally, I'd probably do this in music notation software, like Sibelius or Finale. They've got pretty robust MIDI export options. Doesn't help if you're not a) familiar with traditional notation and b) sitting on a few hundred spare dollars.

Basically any small reverb unit.

Broken units, units missing power supplies, anything considered.

Also down to trade for it - have DMGs, colors and pockets. Will mod. Also lots of other stuff, just ask about whatever you're looking for!

Back on topic,

This is the Glowing Stars roadcase with the brains of the in-ear rig. The "mixer" is actually a headphone amp mixer. It takes in a stereo feed, four aux signals and an fx loop which can be mixed separately for each of four headphone amps, which means Lizzie and I get separate mixes. Because the mixer doesn't have pan controls for the aux inputs, I made adapters to use the L and R channels of alternating headphone amps so I can pan anything in either headset pair.

The black box in the middle is a stereo mic preamp. I split each of our microphones so that the sound person gets a signal and I get a signal and they're entirely independent.

This setup has been changing a lot lately. Before I found the headphone amp, I was using a little Soundcraft mixer instead, which only had two separate stereo mixes (main outs and aux), so it only allowed one headphone mix. It was still light years better than using floor wedges, especially for vocals.

I'm looking for a little stereo reverb unit, like an Alesis microverb, for the in-ear vocals. Otherwise, I think I'm totally happy with this setup now. smile

Sounds like the backlight may be drawing too much power. Make sure you installed the resistor correctly!
