Let's say someone orders something from you online, like a CD or vinyl album. You clearly remember shipping it to them and are sure you addressed the package correctly. They claim to have not received the product and ask you to send another. You suspect that they are lying in an effort to get some free stuff from you. This is a hypothetical situation and I'm not going through exactly this right now but it's making me think about it.

How would you deal with this? Send another one? Refund the cash?

Where do ya'll see the market for chiptunes at?
People in their 20's. People who like electronic music. People who had Gameboys when they were younger. But I don't think chip music has a "market" (except for in an extremely broad sense) because chip music isn't a genre. Different bands would have different "markets" because they sound totally different.

Where do you perform? (if you do)
I set up a monthly chip music event in Rochester, NY. I play at bars, clubs, houses, basements, etc.

Have you made any money off of the chiptune scene?
I get paid for playing shows. I get paid for merch at shows. I get paid for selling music online. Not a lot but some.

Like what cities are you all from? and do ya'll get together?
If you look under our avatars, you can see the cities we're from. Also, there are some larger festivals.

Also does the market for chiptunes look promising?
Promising in what way? I have a lot of fun making chip and non chip music. It looks promising that I will continue to have fun with it.

anything helpful here? - http://8bc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=19999

donated! can't wait to see you guys play at blip.

Ah, ok that clears up some things, but is there something on mGB that you have to start? Like when you have to start the sequencer in LSDJ to play notes if you're using a ps/2 keyboard. Is there a  way to set the clock in mGB or a way to see incoming midi info on the gameboy? I appreciate any help! I've been trying to get my arduinoboy to work for quite a while and I'd absolutely love to get it working properly soon!

no, there's nothing you have to do in MGB to make it work.

are you sure your midi device is on the right channel?

I'm a musician. A modded dmg is still pretty fucking cheap compared to the rest of my gear, so instead of wasting a few hours of frustration fucking around with "simple" mods i'd rather just buy a nice one, and be done with it and get back to actually making the music.

yeah, exactly. i've modded a bunch of gameboys but when i wanted a new one that had RCA outs, a backlight, and a variable speed knob, i just thought i would be easier to buy one from justinthursday than to go through all the effort of buying a dmg and all the parts and doing all the mods.

i can't get it to work with my cartridge. it looks like it writes the program to the cartridge fine, but it doesn't load when i turn the gameboy advance sp on. the nintendo logo is all garbled. if someone gets this to work, let me know how. it looks amazing.

Do you have one of those el cheapo blue cartridges? Because I got exactly the same problem and it wouldn't be the first software I try with this cart and doesn't work.

yep, i do. dang.

Crazy idea... You could stack another 4021 on top of the existing one. Solder all the pins except 3, 7, 9 and 10 to the bottom chip. 3, 7, 9, 10 is what transmits the data and powers the chip, so connect these as appropriate to the second cable. Also connect ground on the second cable to any ground point on the board.

HEY NEX, I DON'T HAVE A NES SO TRY THIS FOR ME PLEASE! It should work though.

yeah, this would work perfectly. i'm working on something similar right now (a custom controller that uses two 4021 chips) and from what i've learned, it should do exactly what you want.

you could use this to control two NES's simultaneously and to trigger the 10 channels to play back at the same time (pretty close to totally in sync).

according to google, £100 is $163 which is $18 more expensive than it is if i bought it new on the retrozone site. i'd only buy a used snes powerpak if it was cheaper than what retrozone sells it for.
