So does the antitspike make the samples sound that much better? Would be interested in some before after comparison if anyone is up for it..
I cant remember the reason but that sample code from that psp midi project was a nonstarter at the time.

More likely dirty carts + systems cause crashes by corrupting the ram or something. Do a throughout scrub and see if that makes things more stable.
