I think the perceived "hardware or its fake" attitude pushes newcomers towards the cheapest and easiest to find platform which is obviously gameboy. The same attitude prevents new and sonetimes old chippers from considering all the great dos options which anyone can run totally for free. I dont have a solution, just saying its a shame. :'(

(regardless i guess),
check out NodeBox3. its cross-platform, free, and comes with examples you could use (and more you can download I believe).
This looks super cool.

Re: Condensing all CC threads into one master CC thread (29 replies, posted in General Discussion)
CC threads are redundant since the music uploads have a "request cc" option. Delete all cc threads and instruct posters to upload and mark songs instead. Maybe an icon beside the song name at the top of the page and in the music section to denote cc requests.
+1 this is the best suggestion relating to cc ive seen thus far, good job!

Topic: COLLOID (2013 song-a-week challenge) (0 replies, posted in Releases)
Posting this to see if anyone else has a self-challenge going on this year that's not part of anything official. If so I'll gladly change the thread title and we can use this as the "2013 music challenges thread". Here's mine:
COLLOID is a project and experiment using LGPT (LittleGameParkTracker). Each track is made using a chunk of audio from the previous track that is 1/16th of its' total length as the only sample material (excluding the COLLOID_01, I had to start somewhere). The goal is to make a new track every week of 2013. Purely for inspiration and to spur more experimentation.
Download includes LGPT source files for all tracks so far.

Re: EMS 64MB USB Cart in Linux? (52 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Have anyone ever tried building this on an ARM Linux platform? I'll try that tomorrow and report back, it'd be great to have this on the raspberry pi project. You could even set up an auto-restore function for those times when a cartridge crashes and corrupts data; just plug the cart into the RasPi and it'll automatically restore a preconfigured sav.
Great idea!
