I forgot that I've already bought this. Must give it a listen, the 7'' he released for record store day was amazing.

Im no promoter but should you really mention acts who aren't confirmed?
Slayer TBC
KE$ha TBC
A.r.e. Weapons CONFIRMED
It's a completely fair point herr_prof.
We're in the midst of confirming them, and we asked their permission to be put on the list as to be confirmed. We are looking to have the lineup completely confirmed by June so we can start advertising properly.
That should have been made a bit more clear.
Also, thanks for all of the kind words guys!

NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE CONFIRMED LINE UP FOR THE EVENT AND IT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR MORE CONTRIBUTORS AT THIS STAGE. ADVERTISING WILL BEGIN AT A LATER STAGE ONCE MORE ARTISTS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED.

PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS!
Call for circuit benders, VJs, chip art and chip related workshops.
Ultrachip will be Scotlands first chiptune mini-festival, showcasing chip acts from Scotland, alongside national and international artists. Performances will take place on the Saturday and Sunday evenings. During Sunday there will be a series of workshops/discussions/demos/market/and art relating to chip/circuit bending and vjing. This is likely to be fairly informal (but awesome).
Ultrachip will take place in Edinburgh, at "the forest" (http://www.theforest.org.uk), which is a diy, not-for-profit volunteer run arts space (the building is an old church). This will form part of forests 10th birthday celebrations.
The Saturday and Sunday evenings will see performances till 3am, current schedule:

Circuit benders to run small workshops/skillshare/demonstrations.
Chip market participants buy/sell/swap chip stuff (zero commission)
Seminar, discussion proposals.
Chip art.
circuit bender/ chip performers (limited slots remain)
Other chip related things, please suggest!
We are now open for submissions for participation along these lines. We will be scheduling this organically, and have left a limited number of performance slots free. It is possible that workshops could extend into the following week, if there is sufficient demand.
Please note this is a FREE DIY minifestival, and we do not have an expense budget, or money, and cannot pay any fees.. it is all for love of chip and music!
Please send proposals to ultrachipfestival[at]gmail.com, by the 1st June. Please note, participation places are limited, and the schedule will be determined in June.

For the record Chiptune is not a genre it's a medium.
I'm glad someone else brought this up.

Re: Favorite instruments to compose on: GO! (43 replies, posted in General Discussion)
These are my two favourite instruments to compose on. I have loads of guitars, but these ones are very special and I always pick them up first.
This one is a mishmash of a Fender Thinline Telecaster and a Fender Traditional Tele. The neck is so smooth, and the sound is glorious.
This is my other favourite, and the one I pick up to bash around with, a Danelectro 56-U2. It's one of the 90s reissue models, and for such a cheap guitar, it plays so well and is acoustically so loud! It is such a charming little guitar, I can spend hours with this thing. It sounds like a Guided By Voices record.
It's important to find an instrument that you are eager to pick up and play..

Re: Is it possible to make Font/Color setting in LSDJ universal? (3 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Could you not just always start your songs on a file titled BLANK where it has no sounds saved other than your font settings?
If there isn't a 'change all' type setting then this would be an easy solution for starting new songs at least.

Re: Possible cheap LGPT device? (55 replies, posted in LittleGPTracker)
i hear what your saying but if you look at it....
psp $99
GP32/gp2x (no longer in production) $100 -150+ ?
dingoo $107
DIDJ $30you cant beat that price and anyone can do it.
I am not demanding anything it was just a thought. he is a busy guy. i dont expect anything.
Taken from the LGPT website:
"All versions are available for free ; however, if you like the project and want to contribute, don't hesitate to do a small donation. If you'd like to see the piggy wiggling on your particular hardware, you can try donation too."
So if you want to make it happen, put your money where your mouth is.

Re: longer sessions? (13 replies, posted in Bugs and Requests)
no fair. chipmusic logs me out ALL THE TIME.
come to think of it, it also didn't let me sign up in the first place, which at first i thought was due to the fact that i put a space between irrlicht and project (which is actually the way it's meant to be), but nowadays there are plenty of people who have spaces in their usernames ...
anyway for the record i'm using firefox 3.5.8.
Upgrade to 3.5.9. I've never been logged out on my home computer using this version.

This resource might be useful to you, I helped put together a big list of artists from all over the world who write chipmusic (it is by no means comprehensive, but it should help nonetheless).
My English artist recommendations would be...

If you have a lot of friends on here, why not contact them directly?
I have some sympathy for your situation (other than the fact you've admitted to wilfully marrying a crazy person), but I'm not really sure what you're aiming to get from posting such a thread. You're not asking for advice, so what are you looking for?
