There are so many things you can do with the WAV channel it's not even funny.  It'd be a tragedy to only use one sound.

It's so worth the money.

I don't really care because people who look for the easy way out are never as good.  I heard the samples.  I would be embarrassed to call that something I made.  This is about as useful as an autotune app on my smartphone.  It's novelty, at best.  Let them have their weak covers.

I wish I had chip dreams.

Nice!  I really dig the part around 1:50.  So good!

What a good idea.  Keep us updated on how it goes!

Several people have great tutorials where they dissect a song of theirs and show you how to do certain effects.  Mr. Danimal Cannon is one of them.  Here is a great tutorial from him on Youtube.

Like he said, many artists include save files with their albums like himself, or Electric Children to name a couple.  Once you've messed around a bunch with the commands and different channels, you'll start to be able to pick out what somebody probably did just by listening.

This is me, pretty much.  Or if I'm otherwise inspired by something that happened to me.  Occasionally I just make time to sit and write, but hardly as much as the other times.

It's more of a medium.  You can play the funk genre on sweet old fashioned synths and guitars, or you can play it with an old school gaming chip.  The thing that makes something chip music is the instrumentation.

I would be interested.

I am all for the spread of chip music.  I love it so much and share it with everyone I'm around.  I'm glad it's getting bigger, and I've never been disappointed with it's growth.  When you say "mainstream" it scares me, though.  Not because I am against everything mainstream, but because, in my general experience, when something starts to try to meet the needs of the whole of society, my needs are almost always neglected.

That said, chip music doesn't only affect American society.  So, if it were to go mainstream, there would still be fun sub-cultures of chip musicians and engineers doing what they love to do.  Most people who make things, regardless of if it's music, software, or hardware, do it because they love this scene and not for profit.  I don't really feel that this particular group of people can be marketed and controlled.  So I guess I'm not too worried over all.

Is there an option to be notified through email when you receive a new private message similar to when someone posts in a topic you're subscribed to?  If there's not, can there be?
