this just has got to be translated for everyone's pleasure! kinda central television talks about dendy and modern 8bit movement in a very serious manner. macron is being interviewed there.
dendy is still being produced in Zelenograd!!! with games!!
needless to say, i'm pretty shocked!

Re: Mastering Software... (29 replies, posted in Audio Production)
Usually (when i record analog music) for mastering I use Ardour + Jamin, but I've never tried it with LSDj tunes.
i do it all the time for my lsdj tracks. a little of lv2-ir plugin doesn't hurt either.

Re: Getting individual tracks from LSDJ (23 replies, posted in Software & Plug-ins)
If you want VBA on Linux, use VBA-M instead.
if you go for vba-m, put these lines in ~/.asoundrc for jack support
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave { pcm "rawjack" }
}
pcm.rawjack {
type jack
playback_ports {
0 system:playback_1
1 system:playback_2
}
capture_ports {
0 system:capture_1
1 system:capture_2
}
}
pcm.jack {
type plug
slave { pcm "rawjack" }
hint {
description "JACK Audio Connection Kit"
}
}
restart alsa daemon. start jackd.

if anyones coming to Australia, we can usually sort people out with a place to stay in Melbourne (whether it's with Celsius and I or with other people in the scene) we will generally try to put on a SoundBytes when people are coming from overseas too.
you guys are too awesome! if i start touring any time in future, you'll be the first ones i approach =]
i'll sleep in a car for sure!

your nick confuses me. what instrument are you talking about? maybe your synth restarts on its own. any retriggering commands in the table?

There needs to be a program where you can pick a volume level and just scale everything back/up to that level; yes I know I just described a compressor, but it'd be cool to have a wave editor with a visual interface that just has handles on the volume and on transients and lets you drag them around. Maybe I'll invent that at become a billionaire.
the only semimagical thing i've seen like that was http://izotope.com/products/audio/ozone/download.asp
and it was about five years ago.
