are there any tutorials for this out there?
I really wish someone made a tute for iNanoloop. I've been fiddling with it several times but all the sounds I'm able to make are super-lame

Also I forgot to let you guys know that I made a little pixel art tutorial.
It's fairly basic but covers some important points.

Some PETSCII I made a while ago for Orb's Commodore PET demo using 4-mat's uberawesome sixtydraw tool.

Pattern data should be fairly small for modules, not sure about xm, but I expect it's fairly similar.
How big are all the samples you use in a song combined, versus the XM for the same song?
You can load your XM into fasttracker and save them from there, just to make sure MilkyTracker doesn't save a bunch of metadata on it's own.
edit:
OK I guess it makes perfect sense for 1kb compos

Bump!
Akira, did you end up making anything interesting? I kinda got pissed that you can only change the 'mask' and then parts of it get restored to default as soon as you click them.
Also, kinda off-topic, I can't find a thread on the windows protracker rewrite by 8bitbubsy.
It's actually gotten into a stage where you can load, edit and save music with it!

It is not really possible to compose in protracker like this, is it? Can you enter notes?
Still super awesome for playback!
