Nex, any posibility on the classic GBA front?
not at the moment because i don't have any GBAs but if someone is willing to donate one, then i would do it for a little cash (i don't get much free time any more)

150 game boy pockets??? kind of price-y, if you ask me.
gameboy pockets are THE currency these days, they are an example of wealth because only the truly rich can trade with them

NeX wrote:i disagree i think the SP can have amazing results with a pro sound mod depending on the model. japanese 101 models being the best
I've had different results. the 101 has more noise by default without modding. I probed the 101 as well and the noise seemed to come from the cpu's output so I couldnt get the noise to go away. I should look up what exactly you did and try again. you just hooked it up from the conveniently available pads on the pcb right?
i took the two pads above the speaker, the ones that lead down the left hand side and are marked in the bottom left as LIN and RIN i then put two 220 ohm resistors on those pads and a 1k from the AGND pad. i was also thinking about changing the cap for a slightly bigger one.
but i found that the sound was a lot cleaner than on the 001 models, they have an amp chip the same as the GBA and that amp will ground out the sound coming in, so really the only way to get a good sound from the 001 would be to cut out the amp or cut the traces.

people dont prosound the GBA because the buttons are in the wrong place for LSDJ, and it is redundant compared to the SP

Re: Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with my ArduinoBoy??? (13 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
how can you get this thing so horribly wrong? i have built maybe 100 arduinoboys every one of them worked and about 80% worked first time with no problems.
i will happily build one for you if you want me to, but troubleshooting on a forum with no pics is very difficult, and there are soooo many things that you could have got wrong, for example the link cable wiring, the sync mode, LSDJ settings, midi channel settings, wrong port etc and then on top of that you have to know that all the parts are working, the gameboy, the midi device, the cable, and every aspect of the arduinoboy.

Re: mGB: controls necessary? (5 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Yup that is EXACTLY what I want to make. But I guess I'd have to wire some buttons. Where can I get a schematic to know which lines are the buttons? I don't mind adding buttons, I just don't want to use the LCD PCB anymore.
Thanks guys!
why would you want buttons? you don't have a screen?
the ones i made were made out of gameboy pockets, there is no schematic on the internet for them, you could always pay me to make you what ever you want
think about it, all the awesome things i could make for you...oooh what about this MGB thing but built into a keyboard, or keytar? or a group of them with pitch control all wired to a single arduinoboy for cords???
so many wonderful things!
