What a great night! Really good fun.

Really enjoyed playing as well - thanks to everyone who said nice things about my set. And enormous thanks to Gwem for putting the whole shebang together.

TONIGHT!

BE THERE!

One week today folks! (just mentioning....)

The quality gulf between good dubstep and bad dubstep is astonishing. I love Burial and all the Hyperdub stuff, and the 2562 album was one of my faves of last year. I can't stand the Caspa/Rusko style of hyperactive LFO'd basslines and cheap samples. I guess the less dubstep has to do with dub, the less I'm interested.

My thoughts on chiptune dubstep are more or less the same, and like 4mat I feel that the use of brackets is inversely proportional to how interesting the music is.

(yes, I do have two tunes on Metrodub)

Now with added Facebook if that sort of thing's your bag.

I initially read that as BBC, which would have made the article look even more Daily Mail than it currently does.

Possibly the only thing that excites me more than actually being on this lineup is the fact that I'll finally get to see Touchboy play a liveset. This is going to be EPIC.

Small offices in Camden are around £300 a month which is pretty reasonable so assuming we would have 10 members with a cost of membership being £30 all will be well, I have not looked that deep into office space but there appears to be some affordable spots here and there.

There's a rash of other costs though that you're not looking at, including tax, security, insurance. Plus you'll be hard pushed to find office space in a shared block that'll let you blast out music as much as you'd want.

Also, for £360 a year I'd rather buy my own equipment and use it in the comfort of my own home, than be paying a lease on keeping some shared equipment in an office somewhere.

It's a nice idea, but if it was as straightforward or feasible as you make out, you'd have these kind of artspaces all over London.

Renting a central London premises is going to go *way* beyond what you'll reasonably expect to make back through donations/membership, and that's without equipment costs, furniture, electricity, security etc.

A better bet might be to see if there's any existing electronics/music/artspaces in London keen to work with you on something, though I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Is anyone archiving this stream? The quality's really good. Music's not bad either wink

Between this, Renoise, Trash80's astonishing Digitek and (of course) Piggy Tracker I haven't picked up a Gameboy for months!
