"everytime to have for a little joke" is a phrase in german ("immer für einen witz/scherz zu haben"), which means, he's a funny and/or joking person. But you can't translate it (like most of these phrases) well into another language.

Frostbyte is always the first one to post on these topics yikes it seems like he created a secret notification algorythm for his phone, that makes a sound if a topic has words like "logo" or "cover" in the name. haha

Here's a minimalistic pixel version.
(looks a little bit blurry because of the scaling)

I just made the gameboy resolution version. 160x144 pixels.
It may needs some editing for better edges, but I will look into this if my artwork is chosen:)

In my opinion there are 2 kinds of dance music in chip. The one that is influenced by modern music (I guess Je Mappelle is one of those artists) and the one that just sounds like chip music you can dance to (you may listen to WeAreTheFuture - Girl Oceanic, here)
But even the most influenced-by-modern-music chipmusic sounds more raw and neat and can't be compared to modern music. I even listen to chip-house sometimes, and I really hate modern house music, i just can't listen to it.
Can't describe it any better, sorry!

Hi Guys,

I just ordered the 64mb cartridge from Kitch-Bent with a mini usb cable.
Now I've read through a lsdj-wiki and saw a few things i have questions about.
First there is this note:
"NOTE!: Don't use a Game Boy pocket with flash cards because it will drain the backup battery!"

Can someone please explain this to me?

My other questions is about backuping your .sav
I thought i could just drag the .sav from the flashcartridge onto my pc. But I read something about backup devices?
What is a backup device, and how do i get one?

I bet these questions were asked a hundred times in some way, but with googeling I couldn't find something (maybe because it's pretty late here and I'm tired). So i would really appreciate if someone could give me a few answers!

Thanks and best regards,
Tobi

EDIT: Ok I just found something about backing up songs, sounds pretty easy. Using the program that comes with the cart, convert the sram into .sav and split it with the other program into songs.
Now theres just one question left big_smile

Hi there!

I wanted to ask you a few questions about using lsdj with a keyboard.

I'm currently using nanoloop one with my gb pocket. Now i wanted something to
play chipsounds live. My first thougth was the NES-K1 which turns your NES in kind of a keyboard.
But sadly it's not available for PAL.

So i was thinking about using LSDJ with a custom pc keyboard.

My questions now are:

-How much would someone charge for building a lsdj keyboard for me?
-Do you have to mod your gameboy pocket to use it with the keyboard?
-Would someone ship to germany?

Thanks, and best regards,

Tobi

Wow, i thougt there would be more people playing retro video games massivly in this community.
I own a shitload of gameboy and NES carts! Play them every day

Hi There!
I think you got some good melodies there. As Girl Posse said, better song structure is needed, they build up very boring and static.

May I ask you how old you are?
You should definitely improve your screams/shouts. They just don't sound great. I think It's because of your age.
You need plenty more volume in your voice. Try to shout or scream really loud, don't think at your mom, neighbours or whoever, this helps pretty good!

What exactly do you mean by "hyping"?
If you mean advertising: This is how the world works. Without advertising and "hyping", the only ones who will see your new release are those, who are checking out the forum at the moment you just posted it.
