The only time I've ever found a use for complicated groove tables was the other day when I made 1/32th notes like this:

So in the end it still evened out to 6 ticks per step.

I don't get ant1's music but this was great compared to a lot of his other stuff; the artwork is good, too.

You could try isolating and removing some of the noise in audacity before doing the compression.

Pulse channel speech synhesis, moe moe kyunstep style. It can probably already be done by creatively pitch bending with lsdj, but it would be much easier and useful (and fun I guess. "Hey guys, look at my talking gameboy!") to have a dedicated ROM for it.
