I've always wondered... how do you guys change the tracks? I mean, the loading time... doesn't it kill the show? I've always supposed i would use 2 gb with the same 2 .savs and play each song on each gb to avoid the silence, I'll definitely do that

I'v never played live before, but i assume you'd just load up the next track as soon as the next one's done, while the crowd cheers or whatever tongue

It really pisses me off that 500 pads arent sensitive at all, at the moment theres no use for velocity. Maybe I gotta bang them for another year:P

I know how you feel ! I played with a 500 some time ago...Pads are so stiff ! sad
Once you go to the 1000(and JJOS) you don't go back ! wink

Yeahhh, I was looking at the 500, but after hearing only negatives from you, zazi and some others, I think I'm either gonna go for a MAschine Mikro or save up for an MPC1000. Thanks for the unintended help!

Go and talk to nitro2k01, he might be able to retrieve your lost data

Also blue DMGs can be priced as high as the seller wants as they are fairly rare.

Fair enough. I forgot about the price and value of PiLs!

What i'm asking is if I make a bunch of sounds in LSDj and save the presets for later use, will I be able to then go into mGB and make a bunch of sounds and save those presets as well? Or will I have to upload the LSDj presets to a computer before I can save presets on mGB?

LSDJ and mGB are two totally different software programs - the way they save data is different. The sounds aren't saved as "presets", they aren't even saved individually. There isn't a way to extract the instruments to a single file or preset.
To add, the way you create sounds in mGB and LSDJ are two totally different approaches. You might be fiddling with numbers and shit on both, but you're fiddling with different numbers and shit in each program.

I wouldn't pay that much for it, no way.
I payed $5 for my DMG, $20 for mods (prosound, backlight). That's $25. My cat cost another $40. (all in AUD)
All up (converted to USD), thats about $67.40 USD not incl. shipping.

Plus, I've never seen a patricknicola1987 in the modding scene, so it's hard to judge his past jobs/customers. If you're ordering from kitsch/Apeshit/etc, everybody knows them and their works/prices.

I'd stick with buying a DMG from goodwill/eBay and getting it modded by someone else, or buying a premodded from someone like justinthursday or kitsch and so on.

Just my two cents. I'm probably way off on something! tongue

Seconded.
I had this problem with my cart, changing cables solved it 100%

I usually do what VCMG does and goof off until a lightbulb appears over my head.
But it's not all bad, usually I suffer from what I like to call the Rob Swire complex - craft a shitload of instruments and synths, then staring at my gameboy with not a fucking clue what to do with any of them. Eventually these instruments give me an idea for a progression or melody, and I go from there!
