The Gorf would be really cool!  I'd be game for a chip synth as long as it doesn't already have a MIDI implementation which little-scale has made one for the SMS - another chip would be really cool though.  Perhaps the same SN as in the SN voice?

Finally!  Listening right now.  Your style is right up my alley!  Best album of the year so far for me!  smile

Jeez your unstoppable little-scale!  I'd be in for a PCB for sure.  Would this include any kind of a control surface, or would it just be a magic MIDI box?

Theres a new MIDI Cynthcart interface.

probably a shorter wait until low-gains NES output mod is available...

Yeah I figured as much.  He did have some cool features planned for it though, maybe it'd help him make money to start shipping MIDINES's again too.

For the uninitiated the PC-Engine packs some good sound specs.  It has 6 wavetable channels.  You might be thinking Namco N106 has 8! The PC-Engine shines through though because  it has a higher bit depth and channel 2 can modulate channel 1 with an LFO - creates cool FM like timbres.  Channel 5 and 6 also can produce noise waveforms.  The chip also can play 5 bit PCM samples with 20 bytes of sample data per channel.  Think of this like 6 extra high quality gameboy WAV channels.  It also has a feature where you can stream PCM audio through the channels as fast as the CPU can handle.  In this mode you can also combine 2 channels to play back 8, 9, or 10 bit PCM samples.  Let me tell you people, the PC-Engine can pack!

I took a look at the Korg Poly 800.  Looks pretty sweet especially with mods, but I couldn't find any in a decent price range. hmm

I've been waiting for people to exploit the LTC1799 controlled clock!  I've been thinking about a cv sequencer to vactrol to gameboy with the droner... should prove cool!  Nice one!  smile

Oooh! Thanks for the link!  I was planning on modding it with S-Video and audio outs anyways but that price is dang good.  Need to check shipping now...
