The mistake was mine.
There was a disconnect from the topic in my mind and I didn't know what 'fake crack' you could be referring to.
Forgetting I-Dosers and such, it just sounds twisted.
Remembering them, that's actually kinda cool.

Because drums and guitars just grow off of trees.
Totally natural.

The after show was so much better than the actual show.
Also, lol.
I was just making jokes about glow sticks and chiptune.
I don't know if I should feel validated or sad.

La-luna?
Okay then:
The only people I know that do these things are people who do drugs anyway and Alex.

I do think there is validity in them though. I don't know about feeling like lsd or whatever, but I went to a show and after 20 minutes I had to step outside for a bit. The music had me feeling uncomfortable and weird.

Stickman, I don't know you so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are joking.

The only people I know that do these things are people who do drugs anyway.

I'll know if I'm interested after I see you video.

I think you dropped your Reteris.

Depending on the chicago date, I'll try to make austin and chicago

....really? somehow AGM is playing (which is awesome), but 5 established Texas chip acts (Mysterious H, Sievert, hexcrusher/yatagarasu, I, cactus, & myself) were passed over completely in favor of lesser-known local acts? (no offense to Leroy & Reteris, or Alex/naxat, heart you guys, but still)

This is a real shit attitude to have, in my opinion. You can't have the same three or five acts playing every Texas show, people will stop showing up. And sure, maybe there is some validity to it being in a different city and all since we're all so damn spread out, but ultimately, nobody has some kind of "entitlement" to play every show that is setup in the state.

I agree that no one has an entitlement, but I highly doubt people would stop showing up. I've seen IAYD 4 times already and have plans to see him 2 more. In fact, having a couple better known names would help attendance.  People will go for what they are familiar with.

That aside, I wish I could go.

I think 8bc (and possibly this forum too) tend to give off the impression of being a place for artists only - I once got flamed (at 8bc) for not having any tracks uploaded, hehe. There are surely a lot of people who do enjoy just listening to chiptunes, but they don't come to the forums as much because they have no desire to talk about "waves and hats and all that technical jargon".

That is exactly how I felt but this forum is giving off good vibes. I never really dipped my feet into threads because I felt awkward not having any knowledge on how to even make the music. As though 'waves' wasn't enough to indicate that. ;D

I find it pointless that most everyone that listens wants to make it, specially considering the generally low output of that.

That irks the hell out of me. It is so hard to sift through music to find decent tracks. I mean, it is all well and good if you want to make music and get feedback but alot of these kids with gameboys don't even seem to have pride. They slop something together without even caring if it is even halfway tolerable. When I feel it is time to find new artists I pretty much have to mentally pull up my britches to get ready for a long and mostly fruitless night.
