I almost laughed out loud when I saw x|k was playing.  Yup, that's a real good way to get people to show up to your show.  I'm sure a lot people would like to see him ;p

Really?  That's weird.  So it works using Wine? Or just on it's own?  Does that make any sense?

What do you have to say about it?  Do you use now and then 'cause it isn't particularly cool, or what?  Just wondering wink

Hey I just started mml myself!  Do you mind if I checked out your mml file? I have yet to actually read one by someone else, could be interesting.

edit: I just saw the link you posted elsewhere to the mml file, so nevermind this.

Before you get Pamplemousse (thanks pals), you (and everyone else) really have to get peeR's Dances, it's really nothing short of a masterpiece, by far my favourite chipmusic release.

I listened to this for the first time last night and wow it's really good!  I don't know if I'd ever have found it without you mentioning it, so thanks.

And a +1 recommendation to anyone who hasn't checked it out yet

EDIT: nevermind, I figured it out myself!

mml looks really cool...

Ok, new problem trying to use dcm samples

got an mml file and two samples, kick.dcm and snare.dcm in the same folder

but if I have these lines in my mml file:

@DPCM0 = { "kick.dmc",15}
@DPCM2 = { "snare.dmc",15}

It wont compile. Is there anything wrong with those lines? Could there be something wrong with the samples?  They converted fine without warnings.

It seems so simple, I don't know what could be going wrong.  But if anyone could help I'd really appreciate it smile

I uploaded .aiff this time.

and had uploaded .flac's before.

So that's why I think it's just the original recordings (my audio recording equipment isn't the greatest), which aren't that bad but there's a noticeable difference once they're uploaded.

thanks though for the info

Go read the thread on 8bc, that's exactly what happened.

oh.  I will!  Didn't know.

right.

it probably has to do with the quality of the recordings, then?

can't do anything about that right now, unfortunately.
