i don't own gameboy camera, but it looks like 1-bit resolution, only black and white, no grayscale levels. in polygraphy we use mostly CMYK (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/blacK) mode which is subtractive and uses percentages instead of 8-bit values per channel (RGB is additive), on litographies is every plate created from halftone screen dots with different angles. this gameboy video looks exactly like lito but with very small DPI value.

Hello crew,

i was asked by czech Amiga portal administrator to give some old Amiga tracks, so i collected almost all what i have tried to produce (also on PC). Once upon a time my Amiga HDD was damaged so i don't have all mods, but here is the rest. BTW in 1998 i switched from Amiga to PC and i spent nice amount of time in Rebirth, so i also included some 850 rebirth loops, but i really don't know whose are useful smile

Some months ago i downloaded Hively Tracker (Windows version) because in my Amiga times i was very familiar with THX Sound System (now AHX), and last weekend i ported one of my Sid Duzz It (real C64) tunes to it, but i am very unsatisfied with its "raw" sound. In preferences i selected mono separation (because original SID chip is not stereo like AY-3-8912/10), but it is not working and i cant find, where i can select panning for channels. But this sound, very thin basses, bad filters, pulse width modulation is cheesy etc. Interface is very good, but sound not. When i ported my testtune to other trackers like Goat tracker, or even Sid Duzz It emulation on VICE 64, it really sounds good, so maybe it is time to use that playroutine. Cheers.

I also used DigiBooster to compose 8 channel main theme in game The Strangers (published by Vulcan Software in 1997) and I translated guide from polish to slovak language, so creators Tap a Walt Piaszta allowed me to use replay routine. But for most cases i never used more than classic 4 channels (ingame music was 2 channel because 2 was used for sound effects), basically i composed something in ProTracker and then imported it to DB.

Aside of tracking on a Gameboy DMG-01 with LSDJ i am mostly playing live (synthesizers like Kurzweil) and i like to record in Sony Acid and edit things in SoundForge. Sometimes it takes up to one month to finetune things, but i like to learn it that way. I dont use MIDI recording or sequencing in DAW, only in a few cases where my hands cannot play it. smile Back in time (in 1998 i switched from Amiga to PC) i used mostly Cakewalk.

DeliTracker was an awesome player. I used to use it all the time.. Especially for TFMX tunes.

EaglePlayer has better TFMX replayer, i was able to mute channels even on 7V title tunes, and study Huelsbeck's genial sequencing. smile

Another fine tracker made in Slovakia smile

Chiptune music is not somewhat waveform (pwm, square, sine etc.) on something else. Most people think that simple waveforms is (in layman's terms) something very cheesy, so they call it bleeps and blops which it associates with 4-bit chipmusic from old 8-bit computers or consoles. Question is what can be entitled as post-chiptune, what is this? If is it software-driven VST instruments which extends some 8-bit behaviour, then it already exists, not?

Good for front cover of City & City from China Mieville.

Sorry for OT, but you have very smart worldwide-style artist name.

I am looking at that world of spectrum link, MB02? It is disk drive system mostly used by Slavo Labsky (BusySoft), he is one of best-experienced coders for ZX Spectrum in Slovakia (incredible demos, tape loaders for Ultrasoft games, assembler MRS etc.). That Covox is probably product of people around him at electrofaculty in Bratislava, but i really don't know.

Aaah, I get it now.
Thanx for the info!!

Or iam wrong! I purchased first edition for casette without any letter, later D version is in manual "disk" version, but it also may be version for D40/80 disk drive from Didaktik Skalica. So T version is probably TR-DOS version? Betadisc interface with TR-DOS was very popular in Czech republic, especially in Brno. Sorry smile

I have somewhere early sampletracker recordings at maximum speed, it does pretty hardcore stuff. I dont know slovak musician Granatco (project.Gama), but i am following him on soundcloud from now.

BTW that 3D means disk version, and T tape version.

this is beautiful, truly beautiful, and as a man who judges a book by its cover, truly the greatest thing i've ever seen

It is like digital tape with some oscs, video from SHM does not feature it (afaik mostly Lennar Digital Sylenth and some machinedrums). For iPad is very similar Samplr and i also like Borderlands Granular.
