That's maybe because you only got the tool but need some train to use it.
Try learning to play some instrument, listening to a lot of music and isolating the instruments and structures.
Instruments won't fit until you listen to yourself objectively and give each one a certain thing to do. Give it time and try to make as many tunes as you can.
I only listen to music that has tension and resolution.
Which is basically all the music?

A guitar tuner that gives you a note to tune against, that's easy to replicate in LSDj. But this gives me an idea about hooking up a comparator to a Gameboy button input, count the frequency of the incoming signal and make an actual tuner that tells you the tone and how far off the note is. Not that anyone but me would actually build and us it, but I could build it just to prove that it's possible.
I would totally replace my TU-3 with a DMG.
But that wouldn't be suitable live, yeah? For that kind of situations the signal needs to be bypassed and that would require something to switch between the tuner ROM and the clean signal..

Some way to synchronize two gameboys but throwing the loops in only one, selecting if the loop will be played in GB1 or GB2.
That would be in order to get it less "frantic".

I play with the synth setting until it sounds sorta good, then I play with the waveform to get a good blending between sine and square.

I can't really sleep at nights, so instead of rollin' on my bed for three hours I listen to music and do some lsd(j).

I think the most important part is that we're not making videogame music.
