How big?  Still toying with the idea of expanding the LSDJMC^2  smile

Finally got the paintjob done :

Subtle it is not!

I will console myself with this

The flight to NYC is a limiting factor even before the bloody volcano decided to erupt.   Soundboard recording would have been more than enough! big_smile

OMG OMG, 8 Bit Betty?   HUZZAH!!   I wish I was in NYC, this is so unfair.

Please tell me this will be recorded???

Yep, I'm interested.

To sidetrack slightly : I was toying with the idea of adding another thru or two to your LSDJMC^2,   Is there a easy way to do that? (PCBs in existence?)

Whoa, just spotted this from

Two batches of kits have been made and sold. A third batch is in the works. See the forum for more details.

The parts list has been updated. You can create your own Mouser login and upload the list.
Doug is working on several case options. The first run is going to be the front and back panels with a wooden case. After that batch is complete, we'll be working on the 909 voice expansion and the mixer/effects add-on panels.

OMG, OMG, OMG....

EDIT : On futher reading, seems the boat has sailed.  Goddamn.

Nice. smile I look forward to getting a couple. i'm on a list for May. woot!

They're awesome!  Any customisations planned?

is the MG-808 even available?

Not as a kit, but I think they are out there
EDIT: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_808.html  cool

the 909 was a sample based drum machine.. why bother making one? just use samples of it. wink

Yeah that's what I thought...but still....I'd love one.

i used to own a 909.. i'd take an 808 any day of the week.

808 is nice.  Better when coupled with a 909 a-la Rebirth cool

I finally started building my SammichSID.  Took 4 days with just a couple of hours each day.

Timelapse video of the build here :

And 6 minutes of self indulgent techno here :
SammichSID Demo - Live Mix

This is a pretty easy build, if you're half decent with a soldering iron it's worth a go!  The end result is a tidy, phat little synth powered by two SID chips.  It's got me itching to build something else now!  The MB808 is tempting, but I much prefer the 909 sound....I wonder if anyone will ever to a 909 kit?  cool

I *have* downloaded it cool

Finished my SammichSID this weekend, that VST looks OK but it's not complete, it only has controls for the lead section, it would be nice to have a comprehensive plugin which could access all of the sections wink

I just bit the bullet and ordered a brand new Weller WTCP 51 from Rapid...and some flux removal spray.   £150 all in with next day delivery, but should last me for life smile

So, on with the SammichSID!
