Nightbeat.

tell me more, my googling is weak this morning and a search on 'the other site' heralds nothing.

Shit yeah sorry! my motivation to link people effectively to the artists was also pretty limp, anyway, I think Nightbeat's best work is to be found on Chipdisk 4 from rzr1911 but there's some pretty awesome modules to be found on the page that ant1 linked to (thanks for that btw smile)

Some other pretty cool artists that might be unheard of by a few of you guys here are; seablue, doh and kenet. Maybe mr death, lhs and blz as well

I guess people that are into their modules would have heard these artists by now though, you don't have to dig too deep really to find these artists (i should know, ha).

Arman Behdad (Snickers), lektrogirl, nanogrrrl, wildman.xteve and Nightbeat.

Shit, x|k is back?

Regardless of his business practices I'd still LOVE to see x|k live. Obviously doesn't justify his MO but he's made some great music over the years. I don't think I can find a bad release by him.

Balún!

Can't believe I've never heard of this before! Where can I find it?

They were available on his site for free. Not sure where you can find them now.

Soulseek is a great port of call for those tracks. It's where I got them before I had my HD crash last year and you'll probably be able to find them again if you persist and search for "USK" a few times wink

I listened to their recent "Cool Is Just a Number" EP and I have to say I wasn't too impressed. Their overture and John Mayer cover were pretty good but their EP had too much of a 'generic rock' feel to it. Just not my cup of tea I guess but good luck to them.

Interesting... maybe a better idea would be to avoid an "obvious" lineup and just curate the event yourself and be decisive about it. Blip does it year in, year out and always has kickass lineups with a few selections that surprise people. It's always a great feeling to turn up to any show without having listened to an artist much and come away wanting more and more.

Anyway, enough preaching. Good luck with this project, I'll keep my eye on it for sure smile

Edit: Anamanabros beat me to saying it.

Just come back from this show now, was such a funny night I guess.

I opened the night which was predominantly full of people listening to dubstep, so it was quite a tough crowd. But I got some of the funniest comments ever from a few of the people there, including a girl aged about 16 who no shit requested for a song as I was loading songs midset, as I laughed and explained that it wasn't an iPod or anything she walked off and said "well, you're a shit dj aren't you then?" Bastards cut me off midway through my last song as well, maybe I was laughing for too long wink

I didn't stick around for Superpowerless either but according to my friend they went down well. Fuck knows how, no matter how much alcohol you drink, out of tune singing is still out of tune singing(or maybe I'm not drinking enough hurr durr). Also, I found out a fortnight before the show that Oliver from Superpowerless e-mailed the promoter accusing me of "stalking him" after I made a few negative comments on the 8bc threads they started. due to me "stalking him" they wanted to have me dropped from the show.

Just another thing to laugh about after tonight tongue

I was wrong, they lost! god damn!

Lyon 1 - 0 Real Madrid
Milan AC 2 - 3 Manchester United

I bet lyon wount win in madrid though. Too bad milan lost, not because I support them but I would like to see some non-english teams in the quarter and semifinals this year!

It was a good goal from Lyon too. Yeah, I bet everyone is hoping that there is a few less English teams in the latter stages this year, it's just been dominated by English teams for the past few years now. Can't see Milan winning 2-0 at Old Trafford though, Lyon could snatch a win I guess, Madrid should win at home though...

real should win though, after all the money they spent. can't see them winning the champions league though, not even top of the league still!

thursday we play against Copenhague in the Uefa cup. They seem to be in great form this season, wining agasint shaktar donetsk and all. Marseille sux at playing when its cold and I have doubts on us winning in denmark, but they will stand no chance at velodrome.

That's quite surprising actually, Shaktar have a really good team with a lot of money invested. Liverpool have Unirea (or something like that), by all accounts they are a good side, they hammered Rangers away from home in the champions league earlier this year and gave the other sides some good games. Man U play Milan tonight as well with the return of Beckham to Old Trafford, I don't think I'd be that interested in the game if it wasn't for Beckham's return. I'll tip Man U to win anyway, AC haven't been that good for a few years now and away from home I can't see them winning.
