Topic: Chiptune Sucks Comp (88 replies, posted in Collaborations)
In a thread a dude started for a Zelda comp, Saskrotch came in and said, "this interferes with a compilation i'm putting together. it's specifically designed to make sure there's nothing left to respect or take seriously about chip music."
I joked about a Crystal Castles x Gucci Mane remix and I thought, "this would be an awesome comp". Like what if a bunch of people just deliberately made a track that embodied what they think ruins/would ruin/ruined chipmusic, but still made it actually listenable?
It'd obviously be a joke and if it never comes together and ends up in the graveyard, no big deal. this just sounds funny and awesome to me right now.

I just PM'ed the same message to everyone who I don't have a track from yet (most of you). I said in the message I'll accept until the 15th, but if I get it before then that would be preferable since I'll probably have to do some work mastering the songs to at least be a uniform volume and what not. Get on that shit!

I don't like being "that guy" who solves things appropriately, but you guys should just move on. you lost a few hours of your time making a song for some douche, but have spent the past few days talking about it here. in reality he is probably some jackoff youtube kid that does those "8bit covers", and if they turn up somewhere and he is taking credit, by all means put the kid on blast, but continuing this thread wont make him pay you.
