I have a suite of samples I use to fill space. My favorite is Matt berry impersonating Christopher lee making a porn. English humour is tops.

best!

from my experience using that kind of technology has greatly increased my usage of aleatory or accidental elements in composition via a destructive/random cut and paste techniques. i can use the tech to quickly come up with musical sequences i would never think of otherwise.

i think the more interesting question with this is the reverse-pop's influence on chip music. especially thinking back to the limitations of ugh..game soundtracks. regardless of the application-knowing that you had only a set amount of memory in which to compose/play a handful of themes that would loop endlessly, the composers choices carry a challenge similar to composing in say fugue style, which has a long list of rules/limitations. i wonder how much of that music was memorable because of its elegant construction and how much was just beat into my brain.

The last one in Nashville with you and Makeup and Vanity Set was fun.

Seems like an every-other-month thing might generate interest for people in the 3-4 hour drive range too. (?)

Nashville is getting a "hip" rep lately too, so it neeeedz moar chip.

a couple new awesome venues have opened up or will be this summer, plus the weird out of nowhere string of edm heavy weights that came thru recently... the world is our oyster or something

i can get the nashville show set if you want.

ah.... well damn..... open offer for a show in nashville, tons of cool venues here....i can hook up a show plus place to crash no probz.

btw dig the art, electro-zohar style- on a tangent if you get a chance to check out harold bloom's kaballah and criticism.. do it. he takes the mystical concept and applies to it creative criticism, really insightful, weird, and brilliant

this is really well done, its fun to try figure who contributed what, two unique styles that blend in the best way. the break downs and bass lines do a great job of utilizing sounds unique to the equipment. any chance you two gonna tour this together?

took a couple years lessons on the electric bass, after that-it was self taught for various keys, wind instruments and string things, via playing with lots and lots of people for hours and hours. i really really recommend learning an instrument from someone. self exploration is great but having someone to hold you accountable for lessons/progress can take you places and answers questions you may have much easier than trying to reinvent the wheel on your own. the key is to balance your own voice with those musical "rules/tools" that everyone uses.
