I made this song using the Beepola tracker:

I think, if i can make a 1-bit song than ANYbody can make one.

Re: any other chip musicians with synesthesia? (100 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I really wish I had synesthesia. It seems so cool!!!! I have Tourettes Syndrome and some other stuff (OCD, ADHD, Aspergers) but no synesthesia.
Although sometimes when i think about the different elements in a song and try to isolate them in my mind, I think of shapes and colours of each element. But that's probably not anything like synesthesia...
Sometimes these rare genetic differences can be interesting. Like those people that have differently-coloured eyes or vestigial tails.
I can't wait for transhumanism to be a real thing so I can grow a tail or an antennae or whatever!!!!!

Re: How do you feel about your older music? (51 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Some of my old stuff, on Korg M01 and Korg DS-10 Plus especially, was really good for some reason. With my music now, I get lazy after the first good part and just copy and paste with slight alterations. On my old Korg stuff, I would basically make more new sections than I even needed. Something about the ease of use of the interface made me do that, I think.

Hey, is it okay if I just give you one song and you get the rest of the songs you need from other composers? Because I have this one song I just made that's really rhythmic, very staccato, and I think it would be perfect for your game. I already set up a looping version on my computer. I'll email you the song.

You can submit your remix of Animal Crossing if you don't have anything ready in time, if you want
I already submitted three songs already, don't worry.
tomorrow!

Oh man, I completely forgot about this whole thing for like two weeks.
...
When this is finished, is the release page gonna link to any of our websites or soundcloud accounts or whatever? I've got two soundcloud accounts (one for chiptuney stuff, one for more polished tracks) and a tumblr site.

I sent two of my best older songs to you, for you to choose from, but then I thought, "what the heck," and made a brand new song from scratch, which I also sent to you.
I recommend that you use the song I made today, for the compilation, but if you favor one of the older ones, you can use one of them instead.

So, I've got some skills with the Nanoloop App. I'm thinking I MIGHT submit something to this.
Quick Question: I have to make something new for this comp, right? I can't just submit one of my old Nanoloop App songs?

Re: Anyone using Korg M01? (13 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I've made lots of Korg M01 songs:

http://soundcloud.com/unclebibby/care-sympathy-korg-m01
I'm a frequent poster on the DS-10 forum.
Truth be told, I've actually put together 95 different Korg M01 songs, some of them covers, some of them original, and at this point I'm absolutely sick of the damned thing. I've migrated back to using Korg DS-10 Plus. Some of the songs I've composed on Korg M01 were once available online, but no longer are (damn soundcloud with it's stupid 2-hours-total upload limit). At least there's always soundclick!
