I just have my gameboy and a speaker :C My DMG is kinda dying on me now though, I'm super depressed. What's a good mixer to get?
The Behringer Xenyx 802 is pretty popular with micromusicians. I love mine.

And I'm still trying to perfect my new pixelated-stencil making technique but the basic concept is to take a square-mesh-like material and mask-off the squares that you don't want paint to go through.
Had the same idea before.
I wish I could listen to this now.
Done on chip = chipmusic. Don't worry about it.
Thanks, I write a lot of stuff on piano.
haha I would but I'm at a party right now. Lately I've been using sampled kicks in the wav. I used to use more pu kicks though. I'll bring them out with some eq.
Thanks! I knew from the start I wanted to do 2xlsdj. It's only been about 10 months for me.
Not too many chipartists use 2 gameboys. Sets me a part a little.
00 for blank chain with a k command.
30 starts percussion
40 starts bass
20 usually is for pu2
If you're worried about it, only upload previews of your album tracks. Or (what I'm doing) the tracks that I've uploaded on here aren't as good as the album quality and probably have parts missing. So pretty much not the final version of the track. That way people get a taste, but the album has a new quality to it. (like a killer solo)
I had posted this one up on soundcloud, if anyone's interested, another track: http://www.soundcloud.com/auxcide/ellipse
Xylo, there are different aspects to the fun. I have fun making the music but I also have fun spreading it to new people and hearing their reactions to it. None of this planning is taking away from the fun. If one new person hears my music, I'm happy. If that person actually likes it, I'm that much happier. Now if there's a way to add more possible people, why wouldn't I want to follow it?
I know what you mean. Sometimes it's hard because it doesn't seem like it fits. It's still something I need to work on too.
Im so excited to hear what you think bro! Great fan of your work! Got hooked on to your stuff since Cinema remix
Flattery will get you everywhere.
And thank you so much! Its a good picture, i really like it. It has a deep meaning to it, yah know, the whole humans wanting to fly among birds? Well yeah
That's exactly what I feel when I see it. Following your team on Facebook now as well.
Now, I listened to these songs in alphabetical order because that's how my phone presented it to me. So. . . yeah. To the actual meat of the album, the music. All beautiful pictures aside, I loved it. Very well done. Big fan of this style. Very relaxing if you want it to be, very powerful if you feel like it should be.
Attic: As this was the first song I heard it immediately put me in the mood. Strong beat, wonderful groove, love what builds around :45. I was in it by this point. I was full on moving my head and tapping my fingers when everything was in.
Clouds: Love the percussion in this one. Vocals are great. Love the laughing part, perfect. Title is just what I feel from this. When the, what sounds like a saw imo, comes in, it reminds me of some Icelandic music a lot.
Follow: Love the cut and slicing work you do in this one. Really sets the mood. Basically everything I've said before: fantastic beat and percussion. Great work. Almost at times feels a little cluttered, but it doesn't bother me too much.
Glaze: Brilliant. Strong start, you really know how to make it move. Marvelous breakdown.
Shh: Great chilling down track. Like I said: I listened to these out of order so I don't know what preceded it, but I bet it could fit after any track. Love the vocals in this as well. Crickets!
Washed: This was my favorite track. I wouldn't say 'hands down' because I loved every track on this album. This one was just. . . perfect. I. . . I don't even know. That melody, that guitar, the drums. . . seriously. Sooo good.
Sorry if it seems like I ran out of steam in this review. I ran out of ways to say "this song is brilliant" and my phone was dying. I recommend everyone stop being entranced by the marvelous album art and listen to this. Because it's just as good. Looking forward to more.
True, but this is just a mock up. I'm thinking of commissioning someone to do a similar one or not doing a pixelart cover at all.
It was kind of a test of mixing pixelart with a photo. Without the effort
I've thought and planned and decided on 7 songs. One's more of a short intro thing but I'm confidant in my selection. Only one song left to write. The rest are in final revision stages.
I like her.
hurr
Wait what? She's a dude?
