Great considerations and such you guys.
I have never heard of Brother Android or 8Bit Betty.
I really wanted to make this my own, so I never incorporated the use a patchbook, online photos, or any external sound/effects controllers.
I decided on the on the title Mycelium as I felt it was similar to mushroom growth.
Mycelium is the first stage (First EP), mushrooms provide 4 harvests per specimen (4 songs), it takes about a month to produce fruit (took a month).

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm glad that there was at least one track that someone enjoyed a bit.

It was entirely too soon for an EP.

Seriously though, I gotta give you all mad props the songs uploaded here really raise the bar.

I was willing to invest 2 minutes and I downloaded it and checked it out. My general impression is that you have a lot of good ideas but that you are rushing from one idea to the next. Everything just feels incomplete. I'd suggest taking some more time with each track, adding, subtracting and refining . No one can really tell you if you're doing it right or wrong, but these are my impressions.

Thanks for giving it a shot.

None of the tracks I would consider complete at all. Mostly, I'd hit a bump in the road and just wrap it up so I can attempt something fresher. I'm concerned about hitting wrong notes or timing things that don't makes sense. I've never had a introductory music class, lesson, or played any musical instruments. I'm just kinda winging it.

Please don't hold back if its garbage then please let me know, as my musical theory knowledge isn't that developed although I think I have a general understanding.

Well here you go let me know what you think.

Edit: Swapped out download link for bandcamp

Well shit. Saskrotch, I can most certainly give you a lift to and from the show.
I hope to be at BRKfest

It'll work with your gameboy.

According to Bit Shifter "Video standards don't apply; no such thing as a PAL (or NTSC etc.) DMG.
One World, One Game Boy. You're fine."

Thanks Apeshit I couldn't find anything about a case mounted mod.
Although I found this wiring diagram:

Hopefully I'll get my hands on a ps/2 socket and attempt this mod. If I succeed, I may make a tutorial.

Hello there, I've searched the internet high and low for a Ps/2 socket modification for the DMG-01. I know that Nex has done several of these mods so it is very possible.

Would anyone happen to know how to do this? Or know where I could locate a proper tutorial?

For a minute there I thought your were referring to a son of yours. Haha

Just for the record everything is still up for grabs, except the back PCBs as kitsch has dibs at the moment.

I'm curious as to how you went about painting the cases.

Most of it has to do with what paint you use. Even just getting some good spray paints can yield decent results.

This was my first try with X-Metals spray paint. No prep other then cleaning the case with soap and water.

Okay, I didn't know it was that simple. If I were to try and paint the case again would this brand of spray paint suffice?

I have never seen X-Metals spray paint around here.

I'm curious as to how you went about painting the cases. Would you please elaborate a bit on what kind of method(s) you use to produce these beautiful pieces of art? I'm really tempted to purchase one, but money is super tight these days.

My first attempt at painting:

The case left black marks on hands, had a very uneven/odd coat, and scratched off with little effort (Ended up removing most of it off with a razor blade/exacto/finger nails)
