How about Zazi? That dude was a 8bc junkie, I'm surprised he never frequents this place. His facebook looks pretty dead.

^^ this. I mean if you could have the wild distortion and be able to use it a mix with normal sounds.

Also I think my on-the-spot resampling is a very good idea, but I have no clue how feasible it would be.

My wishlist:

MIDI on caanoo
Master mixer with aux sends/returns to a "master table" or to simple effects. No idea if that's possible. Or just a master mixer.
MIDI in
Easy to use soundfonts
On the spot resampling.

I found the original PSP to be the easiest to get going, but I always had some issues with sample loading. It just took forever, not that huge of a deal. I eventually got a caanoo and all is well.

My cat likes to pee on one of my super nintendos. He just won't stop, so I just let him do it then clean up after him. Also, you can do what Walter said.

And you can totally circuit bend a SNES. may be a little dangerous, but bending always is!

This is of interest to me because I plan to sequence my little modular using LSDJ->arduinoboy-> Pittsburg MIDI2 (midi->cv).

Did you use the MIDIout for sending notes/CCs/sync very much in these tests?

And somebody may have read my other comments and threads that asked about this topic and think, just stop thiniking about it get one ffs. Well, I'd still like to hear of any pitfalls smile

I bet you can fit it, all your gear into some sorta of suitcase pretty easily

Hmm looks nice! Seems like I've got some reading to do. It's would be totally cool to put just a little screen and the standard piggy controls directly on the MOBO!

Right now, if you are looking for a midi brain raspberry pi is king pigguh.

Any suggestions/good resources you might know about for making a super portable hardware frontend for it? I wonder if I could build her into a little box with one of the round portable PS1 screens...

reading raspberry pi forums now, seems interesting...

...not in the subject but I'm shocked that caanoo are now around 500$ ! sad

wait, they are? i mean i like mine, but a psp wasnt too bad for piggy... maybe i sell mine and switch back

I didn't mind my PSP but it took so damn long to load samples. Could have been my SD card or something though.

lol when Xyno said that I thought, "I'm rich!!". But I will not sell my caanoo. What if it's worth more in a couple of years? I dunno, I feel like nobody would pay that kind of money for this anyway...
