write a song in the style of the Shaggs.

please

I like it man!  I haven't listened to the whole thing, but you did an especially good job recreating On the Run.

I heard the JAK song on TV last night smile  It was only like 10 seconds of it...probably less.

I wonder when OxygenStar's will come out.

Mars Matrix and UN Squadron are both good games, but very different.  Also....the Nanostray games for DS are pretty amazing.

I PMed you a link, in case you are still interested smile

I was thinking of replacing batteries before they run out, would that stop data loss? If so, how many hours on the cart would be a good indicator for doing so?

Don't quote me on this, but I think removal of your battery will actually wipe your cart clean:)  Not sure though.  You might want to figure out a way to back your stuff up.  I've heard of carts lasting anywhere from a month to a couple of years.  So, it's like when the cable guy tells you you need to be home between the hours of 9 and 5.

I have this controller that I need to get rid of, really fast (need the $$).  It is used, but still in very good condition.  I will post pictures as soon as I can get to my camera if that is necessary (probably tomorrow).  Is say...$200 fair?  I will consider offers and trades as well.

If 10K was conceived at the festies, his full name would be Starchild Moonriver or some shit.  And he'd be all wacky because his mom would have let some hippie with acid all over his hands hold him.  He would collect glass beads like it was a pissing contest and listen to Umphrey's McGee and Dark Star Orchestra, the Grateful Dead cover band (a cover band of a cover band).  Okay I'll stop now.

edit to stay on topic:  I had to see what all the fuss was about.  I can't say this is something I'l be listening to for a long time to come, but this album is worth checking out for sure.  If for nothing else it is good for a laugh.

On the balls scale, I give it 11/10 balls.

Yeah, I don't think too many people have really made a profitable venture out of chip music.  Definitely a hobby.  It's not a normal hobby though, it's one that I obsess over for many hours a day.

ummmm....isn't the LSDJ patchbook back up?  And if it is not...there is a thread on the other site for LSDJ patches.  Maybe you could go use that.  For a ride...the kits sound okay, but you could very easily make something like that in the NOI channel.  Make noise instrument, select envelope of choice.

If you want, fuck with the sweep setting and connect to table that transposes DOWN.  I like FF, FE, F8, F8 and other variations of that pattern, with sweep E0 or D0, or yet another variation of those.  That will give you a snappy sounding snare.  If you use D0, it makes a pretty good kick on C3, and a good snare on C4.

And yes, those little boys should not have been mean to you, but flaming them back is not the way to go, especially if you are trashing their music.  Now say you're sorry wink

Wow, thanks for all the helpful info.  Unfortunately, the shop sold their SGB, so I'll have to order one.  I got a nuby light and some AV cables for my Gamecube though.  Ebay will be the route I take I think.

Does anyone have experience with the gamecube gameboy player thing?  How is it?

I am about to go pick up a super game boy from my local shop, and my question is, does a BleepBloop USB (running LSDJ) work properly with a SGB?  The only reason I ask is because when I plug my cart into my computer and go to "cart info", it says DMG: YES; GBC: YES; SGB: NO.  Will my cart 'splode or some shit if I put it in an SGB?  I don't want to spend the money on it if it won't work right.  I thank you all in advance for any help in answering my question.

On a side note...I think I read on that other website that the American SGB's clock is different from the DMG, but the Japanese one is the same.  Is there any truth to this?

I would say to try different values for those commands until you get something stable.  Or, you can try a different version of LSDJ, because they seem to deal with commands differently.
