You have the three VB games that are worth playing smile.  Warioland is so awesome.  By visor, I guess you mean the foam thing?

dear world. micro korgs dont count as a synth.

The microkorg is pretty powerful, especially if you have something decent to control it with.

My current plan is to be able to sync LGPT, LSDJ, and another piggy to control my Microkorg.

But you are right, I have not seen too many artists who sync a lot of devices, or even two LSDJs.  I think a number of EvilWezil's songs are dual Game boys though...

Exactly what happens when you install and run it?  What firmware?

Sent a link to another song.  See if you like it more (or see if it fits better).  You can use either one!  You may also use both of course...

arfink, with the resources at our disposal now, building MBSID is not so hard.  It is even accessible to newbies like me.  I'm building one.  It's kind of at a standstill for monetary reason, but it functions.  It's sort of in this stage:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjqBk8K1Rac

smashTV sells PCBs and part kits.  His site, along with ucapps.de has every piece of information you could possibly need, and the forum people are extremely helpful.

http://www.avishowtech.com/mbhp/

http://www.ucapps.de/index.html?page=midibox_sid.html

edit:  When building an MBSID, you have a few options.  You can build a regular MBSID v2 using the modular kits from smashTV (or do a true DIY job!), you can build a sammichSID, or you can build a MB6582.  The only advantage that the 6582 has over the modular kits is that it provides for a more robust build because it is one big board rather than a bunch of modules.  Also, the 6582 is meant to fit into this pactec case:

Basically, the legwork and research on the 6582 is done for you, you just have to get the SIDs, work out your PSU, and not fuck it up.

The modular approach is cool if you have monetary limitations (you can do it a little at a time).  Also, you learn more from the experience.

btw, isn't chipmusic inherently not cool and not trendy, simply cause it's nerdy? or is it ironically cool now?

Yep, Bassnectar puts on the best shows.  I like is stuff way more than "real" dubstep.  I saw him at a couple of All Goods, and his was the only decent show at one of them, unless you are into listening to surviving members of the Grateful Dead.

Is this "brostep" that kinda hip hop infused hippie dubstep, like Bassnectar?  If so, I like brostep.

There are so many wannabe dubstep tracks because wannabe dubstep is easy to create.  You can make a "passable" piece of music in any genre, and it drowns out the stuff that attempts to expand the genre.

Here is something that pisses me off about dubstep/dubstep hate:  if you make a song that has a half time beat or just part that is half time, it gets called dubstep.  "It's good but I don't like the dubstep beat".  hmmm?  My reference point for that technique is probably Pantera and a little hip hop music.

I personally can't stand noodly guitar-face-guy blues-box music.

What a great way to put it.  Anyone else here hate Steve Vai?  Very far apart of course, Vai is actually an amazing guitarist, I just hate him and his music and how he changes costumes between songs.  ug.  He definitely does overly expressive guitar faces.

Oh and by the way, Santana played some of these songs on Dancing with the Stars last night.  I walked in on While My Guitar Gently Weeps with India Arie.

Thank you for posting this video, it's so nice to hear music from one of my favorite games of all time on all these different platforms smile

After listening a few times, the Shaggs one kinda reminded me of Syd Barret era Floyd.  Also, I haven't given you props on this site; seriously good job, I always look forward to more.

I will resubmit this with more info...of course I don't expect you to take it up smile

"Basically, the Shaggs wrote sweet little songs about love, cars, and goofy nonsensical crap.  It was kinda like the beach boys, but written by 14 year old girls in the 60's.  The most challenging part for you would be the music, because it defies everything you've ever known about structure and melody.  They cannot play at all.  The guitarist usually plays one note per syllable, following the vocals, but not in any scale.  The vocals change notes every syllable.  The drummer is not able to keep time.  It has a haunting vibe to it that encourages lamenting of lost childhood/innocence to the listener.

I ACTUALLY like them, and think more people should have the opportunity to hear such unique music.

About drenching your voice in effects:  I think it sounds great.  I don't know if this makes sense, but it sounds sort of "gothy"."
