i like that idea! so if people commented on my music it would show up under my name on the right in the online section if i was online? or what if when you clicked a song on the front page it also opened the comments section (rather than having to click 'view item'..)

I think he means more like a separate "shout box", with last 5 comments given. But your idea is kinda interesting.

oooooh that makes sense. i think that would be really awesome. would the comments shown include responses to threads? or just comments on music?

and yea i think it would be cool if a small dialogue box popped up when i clicked a song. i mean clicking 'view item' isn't that hard.. and if i just open it in a new tab i don't have to stop the song from playing. but yea- it couldn't hurt.

It's been like that for a while. Just a side effect of the way the site does avatars.

i looked to see whether this has been addressed previously- couldn't find it.

i attempted to change my avatar but to no avail. i chose the file i wanted (a 60x60 jpeg..identical in properties as the avatar i am attempting to change) but when i clicked 'update profile' the avatar stayed the same.

i have tried changing my settings to have no avatar, which works. but when i try and upload a new avatar it just reverts back to my old one. weird. i even tried using a different computer- same problem.

any ideas?

i think that none of you are realizing what defines "x-bit"... if so called "8-bit" music is generated on a device w/ an 8-bit processor... then 1-bit music would require a device with a 1-bit processor - and the gameboy doesnt have one

this is the answer i was looking for. thanks.

If you only use one volume, it's technically one bit (at least I think so). I suppose your safest bet would be to choose a volume of two to the whatever power, but I'm not entirely sure

This would be a waste of DMG power. Why not use beepola or shiru's engine for the zx spectrum? That would be true 1-bit music.

well of course, but i was just curious. and i don't have a speccy (YET!) plus, who knows? might be a fun niche.

complex, and yet succinct arrangements.. chip big band with deliciously gaudy 80s flavor. awesome. thank you!

nah, you have too much volume bit depth, meaning you can actually achieve different volumes.
