Actually we booked a suite in Newark NJ! Just a short NJ Transit ride away from Blip Fest!
It's a big suite and we have floor space to share if anyone would like to get in on it! It has a kitchen and a living room. We can bring air mattresses if this would sway anyone.
Please contact me if interested.

Oh you genius. I need that teal cover in my life. On my tealish Game Boy. How well do you think it would fit in this line-up?:

- RGB DMG grey with Prosound and backlight start/select buttons    125$/95€

i bought this one for a friend from thursday customs. the shipping was longer than expected and the time the DMG arrived, he lost interest. yeah, shit happens. it is exactly the unit you can see here :  http://thursdaycustoms.bigcartel.com/pr … b-game-boy

You should also mention that it has an inversion switch! It's an upgrade from the one listed. Sorry the international shipping took so long!

Try heating up every little solder pad on the main ribbon cable and the two going to the LCD. This sometimes worked for me.

You might be right. I meant no disrespect. I was not meaning to put him down at all. I probably shouldn't have said anything though.

Because it is probably not fixable. You probably blew the IC.
Also if that alcohol hit either of the ribbon cables it could have caused damage. I know I've accidentally let it flow into the side cable when cleaning the LCD and it basically dissolved all the glue.

You blew something in the LCD board. I just ruined 2 LCDs this way. Looking forward to a solution!

Just checked the conversion rates. If you get a backlit grey DMG with an 1/8" pro-sound from http://thursdaycustoms.bigcartel.com/pr … do-dmg-001 then the total is £54.6312

Not too far off from what you're hoping to pay.

Modded or unmodded? I have some extras I could part with.

That's pretty cool.

Very nice. I'm surprised more people haven't done this. Checked it on the shop and the documentation link seems to be broken.

If we're talking pockets here, I desolder the bottom ribbon cable and solder it back together.
It's surprisingly easy and is the fastest way I think.

I wouldn't pay that much for it, no way.
I payed $5 for my DMG, $20 for mods (prosound, backlight). That's $25. My cat cost another $40. (all in AUD)
All up (converted to USD), thats about $67.40 USD not incl. shipping.

Plus, I've never seen a patricknicola1987 in the modding scene, so it's hard to judge his past jobs/customers. If you're ordering from kitsch/Apeshit/etc, everybody knows them and their works/prices.

I'd stick with buying a DMG from goodwill/eBay and getting it modded by someone else, or buying a premodded from someone like justinthursday or kitsch and so on.

Just my two cents. I'm probably way off on something! tongue

He is DJTransformer. He has done some legit work. Also blue DMGs can be priced as high as the seller wants as they are fairly rare.
I paid $75 for mine and it was unmodded. Very worth it in my opinion. I know I could have gotten it cheaper but ti's brand new.
