Yeah, as the title says, I'm having trouble playing songs in sync. I wanted to try more advanced songs, using more than one copy of LSDJ, and seeing as I have no money, but a bunch of other consoles that can emulate a DMG, I thought I'd give it a go. I set up two psp 3000s with  LSDJ on rin, set up my DS phat with LSDJ in lameboy, and my gameboy, to try and play a song. To test to see if they would all play at the same time, I had the same song (The owl's theme in ocarina of time) playing on all of them. After looping the same pattern, 5 little patterns or whatever they are, the consoles started to fall out of sync. The two psp's where noticeably ahead after the song had looped around 11-13 times, and the DS had actually fallen behind noticeably within about 16-18. Even after messing around with some of rin's settings, I couldn't get them to all play in time. If anybody has any ideas on how to make them all play in sync, that would be pretty cool. If my flashcart for my DS matters (some run faster or something, I've been out of the homebrew circle for a while) I'm using an M3 Simply with the latest R4 wood.

Mixing chip and classical music has been an idea that's interested me for a while. I don't listen to much classical music per say, I really like Pachabele's Canon ('scuze the poor spelling) and was thinking of doing an arrangement of it, but realized it wouldn't sound as god as I'd like. I had an idea that you could have multiple consoles/peices of software playing at the same time, to recreate an orchestra.

I prefer to have a CD rather than a download, I'm a big fan of having physical copies of things. I really don't like paying for digital downloads because it's just a file, if you delete it or something it's gone, whereas with a CD, if I make a digital copy, and then delete it, I can easily get it again. I suppose stuff like iTunes allows you to re-download stuff (I think) so that kinda makes that point null and void. I like CDs because they are higher quality than a lot of downloaded tracks, iirc tracks on iTunes are less than 320kbps, and as someone who likes their music to sound nice, it's pretty important for me to get high quality music. Also CDs just look nice. There are some things that I know I can't always get on CD, stuff like music from soundcloud/bandcamp and foreign music (shit's expensive) but I always try to get physical rather than digital copies of music.

I can't confirm the iTunes stuff I've said because I only used to to rip CDs and put the tracks on my iphone.

It looks like you got your hands on a PS2 with a swap-disc-trick lid. Definitely not stock.

Yeah, I noticed that too, it's quite a distinctive look.

Oh yeah, It kind of slipped my mind to post here about it, I was the dude who bought nanoloop 1.5 from him. Reliable guy, It arrived sooner than I thought which was a plus, and on request, he provided a picture.

My first was a N64, for my 6th birthday in 2003. I got it from my uncle, along with a massive box of games, first one I played on it was FzeroX though.

In theory, both layers have to be removed. As you say, when I first tried, both layers didn't come magically together, as you can see in most videos... Try to peel the the silvery and then get them together again... But you're gonna sweat, I tell you xD

The silver foil layer is attached to the thin plastic one. The easiest way is to remove them both by getting a razor blade under the plastic one. The foil layer reflects the pixels, the backlight basically replaces that with light.

Oh, so I haven't messed up badly, I just didn't peel it all in one piece, and I just need to peel the other thing? Oh thank fuck, I thought I'd messed up big time. Don't I feel silly?

So I tried to install a backlight (LEDx3) but I think I've cocked it up when it came to removing the film from the screen. I did search around a few threads before I made this to see if I could find a solution. I tried removing the film from the back of the screen, but it separated into two parts, the plasticy bit and the silver shiney bit, but the latter came of a little at the edge. Problem is that apparently they shouldn't separated, but then when I look at it, the silvery bit is the green/brown bit that the game is shown on, and I'm not sure if the plasticy bit is actually complete, and I've damaged something, or started to remove something that I shouldn't. Basically I don't know what I'm doing and I think I've fucked up badly and if anyone could help me or something, that would be cool.

Have you tried testing it in something else, like a different gba or ds?

I want that nanoloop 1.5 because I like cartridges, PM'd

I'd go with mod it yourself, not only do you get the satisfaction of knowing that you've done it, you also get the guarantee that if you cock it up, then you'll know how to fix it.

But you can make it white in the settings, or something like that

It's not good. Good kids shows are written for adults and safe for kids to watch (Adventure Time, The Tick, Freakazoid all pop to mind)

Kids don't want to be talked down to by a cartoon. The smart ones at least. Also the show is geared towards little kids, which doesn't make any sense, since they were probably born into the 6th or 7th generation of consoles.

Actually that makes a lot of sense, I started watching hi hi puffy ami yumi again because I loved it as a kid, but damn is is patronizing. Compared to something like regular show and it really isn't worth your time.

Your face logo is similar to one I draw on everything.  I need to learn to make me a rom file like that.

I've been using this logo since 7th grade (1996-97).
I would have compiled this rom myself, but I couldn't get the appropriate software to work. Alpine offered to do it for me.

@nerdsome If you want I'll show you how, or make one for you, pm me

I know I've said this before at least once, but I can't wait to see this finished.

I skimmed through this and I remember someone mentioning that you can't use unofficial cables. It's kinda a shame I found this out after pin swapping this one and cutting it off. I also read somewhere that the CGB will carry the 5v, and seeing as this DMG/CGB to DMG/CGB could thi cable work? I want to know in case there's any chance of making a cable out of this and the ps/2 adapter I bought, or if I should just solder the ps/2 cable in.

I hate software...

What's the problem or problems?
