Pocky and Rocky on SNES was pretty good/cute/difficult.
On NES, Little Samson, Crash and the boys street challenge, and Darkwing Duck were pretty underrated imho.

There are NO jerks here, only professional opinions smile You are always welcome to show us how it should be done, just sayin.

I think everybody either got too busy, or completely forgot about this compo. I've only received one submission so far. Let's move the submission date back, to the 19th of December, and have a Christmas release date. Get Stocking!

Threads like these are the reason I hang around here. I wish there was an outsider/batshitinsane music forum as active, passionate and driven to produce new art, as CM.O. Some netlabel should organize a compo based on this thread.

I legit enjoy this kind of thing. It sounds like a warped lovechild of Sound of Animals Fighting and Wesley Willis. Also love the backstory, it makes the album even more interesting. Will check out Jandek for sure.

Dude! Wow! This shit is so awesomely twisted. I love it. Thanks for exposing me to this album! I cant promise a cover, but it will surely inspire everything I write forever.

Okay, looks like I'll be doing custom orders, so if you want some stickers for your band or whatever, send me a PM. As for the nano/fami/piggy stickers, what design, size and colour?

A while back a bunch of you expressed interest in cut vinyl LSDJ stickers. I am finally back home in South Africa, and have my cutting plotter set up and ready to start making stickers. Do you guys still want some of these? If so, I will do a limited run in one colour (with a U), and see how it goes from there. Just comment below if you want one, or many, and what colour we should do the first batch in. Also, what other stickers would you like? LGPT, nanoloop, Famitracker, SEGA, shittracker?

For me it's not about what I create, but what I get, and learn, from the process of creation. Once the final .wav has been created, I really don't care about it, and I don't bother sharing most of what I do with anybody. I don't care to inspire or impress anyone.

Wow, I really like this. Did you make this in Famitracker?
Busy melodies that change the whole time is what makes really good NES-style music, in my opinion. I never got bored listening to it.
I also really like how you used the stereo channels to give everything a nice "full" sound, if that makes sense?
The only criticism I could possibly give is that it might have been better with one or two slower tracks.
Bravo, man, great release!!!

Okay, so it's been a while since I checked in here, linear algebra exams were kind of a priority for me these last few weeks.
So, is everybody still in? There is about 2 weeks left till end of November, if anybody wants to push the deadline back a few days, we can do that.

"Entire" catalogue? Where is HolyKonni's album? These records are all great, but one of cheapbeats' best releases is missing, imho.

Okay guys, so I just found out about Soundplant, and thought I'd share it here. It's free for non-commercial use and pretty much turns your office computer + keyboard into a sample player to be used like a stripped down SP or MPC. It's pretty easy to use and can add a nice "live" element to your stockwave creations.

The website is only SLIGHTLY less dodgy, because you still can't contact the dude via the site. When you click submit it just says "Are you sure you want to do this?". And yes, all the old stuff is still there, so you don't have to rip new samples. I also just use the ones I made previously.

I play the guitar, and I am SERIOUSLY pissed about this Guitar Hero thing. It even got some attention in non-guitar forums and magazines. Now any kid can just buy the talent that I worked so hard for. sad Just who do they think they are misrepresenting something that is special to ME?

How does this TOY affect any of your musical output?
