On the ucollective website there is a little introduction video to musicmon in the Atari st part of the forums. I guess it depends on what tracker software you are used to to begin with though.

I've tried a few and pixitracker allows you to create stuff the easiest for a phone sized screen, but there are limitations. Touch related stuff does tend to suffer the fate of needing to work on all manner sized screens and one not being terribly perfect for just a small screen. I'm definitely up for new ones appearing, specifically made for phones, and giving them a try. It's easier to dip in and out working on a track if it is around with you pretty much at all times.

I even tried LSDJ on a emulator on a phone, but that was a painful experience..

I'm sure this website looks amazing and clear enough on a big monitor, but the font for the main bodies of text is crumpled together and unreadable on my laptop, which is a shame as I've really enjoyed checking out the weeklytreats in the past.

Thanks, I just sorted out the noob arp error and now thanks to c1541 I have space to save, and exported the corrected file to sid, hooray!

Thanks ant1 for the tutorial! I've tried it out, and I've got a song out of it which I'll probably use on BotB as soon as I have a couple of issues ironed out with it.

I've found a strange error that detunes some of the arps I use in the song when I convert to song into a .sid. Also, know any good ways to delete swm files? i'm looking to sort out the arp issue but I've run out of save space on the .d64 I'm using to make a new save hmm

I'll have to check this out, I'm looking into LSDJ at the moment. I had always benefited from looking at ftms on 2a03.free.fr when learning famitracker so I'm glad theres a resource out there for gb stuff.

This is great news! Looking forward to using the new engines.

very enjoyable. Gbminimal is my favourite at the moment, I really like it when melodies aren't 4/4 but are put into a 4/4 beat to cycle around in different places.

Hi there,

Considering all the work that would go into setting something like this up, retracking it in lsdj would end up seeming like the easier option!

There may not a be solution but if you're going to find it anywhere, it'll be on the gbatemp.net forums. They specialise in stuff to do with flash cartridges and homebrew applications (and that's what you'll need - some kind of homebrew software that allows you to play back music files).

However, nsf is probably not a format that will work with homebrew gameboy applications so you're better off exporting your music from famitracker as a wav, and to increase your chances of success, exporting that wav down to an mp3 using something like audacity.

Again, the more primitive the hardware, the smaller the chances are that you'll find something that works,so moving music to play onto a gameboy may not work - however, a game boy advance with a gameboy advance flash cartridge may be an workable solution - there's GBA GSM player for instance, or Music Player Advance that play back music files on a GBA. Dig around.
