you won't be able to do this with an international shipment.  within the EU it may be different some how...  i'm not sure what the cross-over is on stuff like that (from what i can tell, all "the post"s are still 'nationalized' and not supranational yet).  like, you couldn't print postage in Spain and drive to France and mail it..., right?  Or vise versa...

i do know for sure, only USPS approved stamps/meters/etc are valid for shipments sent from the USA.  individual purchasers of stamps trade in local currencies, not the international postal standard.  the local office wouldn't know how to process stamps bought outside their system (even though within the postal system they are exchangeable).

i think its called an 'international postal unit' but i'm not entirely sure.  the various post offices throughout the world trade in those.  but, regular citizens can't buy these, they purchase stamps/etc in their own local currency.  which translates into a IPU, or whatever, but only within that international postal union system.  its irrelevant outside of this.

so, in short, no you can't do this... tongue  but, again, inter-EU may be different but i have no clue what the postal rules are there for that stuff.

i'd do it myself real quick but my caliper isn't with me atm

measure the plug itself then, not the jack.

you can for sure measure these two things with this tool.  maybe not the tiny protrusion inside the plug itself, just measure the hole in the end of the plug instead.

most calipers have a part for measuring the inner dimensions (2), and the other side is for measuring outer dimensions (1)

also, on the end there is usually a depth measuring tool as well (3)

** numbers in () refer to this pic **

my caliper is the #1 thing i use.

you need a caliper, or multimeter.   if you're talking about measuring for the entire part (housing and all) to fit into some sort of case.  i might be missing your point though...

out of stock everywhere atm

wow.  weekly project smile

your work ethic is very impressive.  very cool, Seb

can you check a couple things on the cart for me?

-- look up into the cartridge case from the bottom.  does the circuit board look perfectly centered?  if not pins are most likely shorting.  if/when you open up the case to fix it, the circuit is held down with double-sided tape (to prevent slippage oddly), so it needs to be peeled up very gently.  just keep that in mind...  tape.

-- don't plug the usb cable in when the cart is in the gameboy.  just in case you're doing this, it seems to be a compulsion in a lot of people tongue

-- make sure the cartridge's internal battery is seated properly.  it may have popped out.  not sure why this would be a problem tbh, it would just impact saving, but just in case its shorting something.

-- do you have an ac adapter you can try and see if everything fades then as well?

-- a contrast change during playback isn't abnormal.  is it a drastic change, or just something you notice happening?

-- if switching out the batteries has helped, do you mean it seems to have solved the issue other than when playback is happening or that they appear to help for a little while, then the whole unit fades away like before?

-- just as a general rule, pockets battery life is going to be less when doing the exact same thing on one of the other two you mentioned.  cartridge aside.  this has been my experience with them, i have no fact to base this on.  apart from differences in battery types, but i don't know the system's overall draw....

ok, that's a long list smile
