Don't lie - how many of you noobs just googled this shit?

I had to google what an Omnichord was. I won't lie.

I was going to google this but then you made me feel bad about it so I didn't. I still don't know what it is but at least I didn't google it.

I know /thread already happened, but think about the intense depression that follows after you finish a song.

will you postpone the end of that process forever, so you always live your life in that state of anticipation?

or will you finish each song as quickly as possible, repeatedly experiencing that depression until you become numb to it?

hate all you want, but a lot of great things start as happy accidents. moombahton is good fun. I've been thinking about exploring it myself. also maybe I should do some trap musik smile

well one piece of advice is, learn to mix in the medium -- that is, work with the levels and panning of each instrument inside LSDJ so that it sounds great without having to use an external mixer. otherwise you are only going to be compensating in post-production, and if you ever play your track live it won't sound as good.

to be honest, I listen to comps a lot and I'm more likely to discover new artists through comps than through artist releases. most people who say they don't listen to comps really don't listen to much chipmusic anyway.

this advice is more to everyone than to the OP: if you are going to do a comp, do it right. people are going to put effort into their contributions, under the impression that you are actually going to deliver on your end. if you never end up releasing it, that's going to hurt your reputation, especially if you are a newbie. but more than that, some comps are plagued by not getting enough submissions, whether it's because a lot of artists drop out by the deadline, or because there was never enough interest to begin with. don't think that putting together a successful comp is easy, and don't do it just to promote yourself.

ducks & stars are two of my favorite things.

both of these songs are fine, they just need to be mixed & mastered well.

don't be afraid to ask for help with that.

if you spend more time than the actual length of the song, you are doing it wrong.

Oh yeah, in that case it would have been necessary to upload this as a 1-track album, instead of as a single track.

And I don't think Bandcamp does the "genre" tag. I don't know why. It's dumb.

I hope you guys plan to release more stuff in the future.
