Thanks all
I was quite happy how they turned out as well, they make a nice set.
It was the first time I painted a transparent DMG. so, win!

A set of DMG's I did for a buddy.
Two transparent cases painted from the inside in a nice 80's gradient colour style thing.
Matching schemes and everything. the blue/magenta one might get green buttons, but that's up to him
with matching EMS carts of course.
and backlight + pro-sound.
Both screens also have a custom Data loss logo behind the pixels. It's best seen when the nintendo logo comes on. Photo's are a bit fuzzy tho.
In lsdj, it's more on the background.
If it's not the front pcb or the back pcb, then it can only be the case itself or the output jack..
Somehow...
Why do you wanna use this cart specifically? Can you just take some EMS64 guts and throw them in the case?
Yeah, but where's the challenge in that
110% Koekje - Mijn koekje
10% Filosofische onzin
2% Fouten maken is menselijk
10% Pakken wat je pakken kan
33% Het beest in haar.
11% Nieuwschierigheid & avontuur - de grote en kleine wonderen van de wereld ontdekken
4% do you mean nutcake as in a cake with nuts? then: Notencake
If it's nutcake as in idiot.. then: idioot / randdebiel / flapdrol / halve zool / klapjosti... (take your pick)
20% Barbecue
20% Spieren
Oh, and that's dutch, btw.
I'm not really sure how to respond now...
My sarcasm fails me again.. From now on I shall stop trying to be funny.
Yea assembly is a super easy skillset to acquire for an after effects user. I liked the video but wish it wasnt angled as it was the entire video.
exactly. i mean, how hard can it be... If they could already do it in 1989, why not now?
they should've made it on a real gameboy. It's not that hard to program...
Here's a good question: what is the BRK sample from? I've been wondering for a while now.
could be....
or any other old song
good question tho.
it would simplify the hell outta of camera dumping if you can't find a transferer, or go through the gbc to mmc to usb method. I can't get those .sav files moved around fast enough.
Shit, anybody ever dump an mmc or a genius boy?
Yeah, about that, a while ago I was thinking... And came up with this:
From the nanoloop website about the usb-midi adapter
-getmidi
This command inverts the direction so that MIDI signals are sent from the Game Boy to the PC.
The adaptor performs no parsing, each byte is forwarded as it is, may it be valid MIDI data or not. Using this function with random non-MIDI data from a Game Boy program may confuse/crash a PC software and / or the USB / MIDI driver.
Shoot me if I'm wrong. But if the connector just forwards every byte of info that comes from the user port, can't you just write a program to capture that data and say, use the adapter as a virtual gameboy printer to send te pictures to?
Press print on gameboy -> save picture on computer.
If lsdj had a transfer song option, you could theoretically use it to back up your songs as well..
I've got no idea and technical know how to say if this works or not, but it sounds logical to me
Can anyone confirm / deny?
Do you live in Utrecht? I could take a look for you
Hiya.
sooo, I made this:
It's a gilded DMG case (Imitation gold, you know, because of the price)
It's a normal grey DMG case which i sprayed black first, and then applied the gold leaves. Looks completely different than say, just a gold spraypaint. The black background and the craquelé effect give it more of an old feeling (ye olde gameboy.)
the back half is more smooth with more cracks, and the front has a more pre-painted/burnished/faded look. (looks a bit flat on the picture, but it does really shine.
I'm selling just the case
so no gameboy inside.
Although, if you really want one, we could probably work something out. (can even backlight and/or prosound, if needed)
as for a price.. I dunno. Let's say we start at $35 and see where it goes.

I didn't look it up cause I could care less. Not to say it isn't awesome, I'm sure it is, I just don't need to impress anyone./throws it in the trash.
/picks it out of said trash.
you know, to impress the ladies.
I sent a mail to Oliver. He told me he compiled the program in osx 10.6, so you probably need that version to get it to work...
he said he would try to make it compatible with older versions.. let's hope
