when i discovered chip it was cause i heard uoki-toki and ralp without knowing what chip or lsdj or any of this stuff was. then saw live performances by iayd and sievert without understanding exactly what was going on . all the other stuff i grew to appreciate over time but my original intent was not to be chip or 8-bit, but to be a gameboy artist. not out of nostalgia or accessibility or any of that other crap but out of wanting to emulate people that inspired me musically. i understand why people get frustrated because of how it seems to overpower the chip scene but i dont care. gameboys are just fucking cool.

yeah sorry man. the new here dig was just kind of a playful joke cause were used to people rehashing certain stuff often. and asking people to steer the comments somewhere else might not work very well.
as far as the cc threads, they never really bothered me, but the members here have been warned so many times about cc thread etiquette that im starting to think its a lost cause. just throwing it out there, but maybe its time to do away with them and use the music sections cc request box and leave it at that.

but seriously its not a bad idea and lazerbeat or any of the other staff acknowledging it are about as successful as a request can get so we'll see what happens.
the only problem i see is having one hella cluttered cc thread with a lot of quotes to discern whats being referred to. but maybe thats just me being nit picky.

as im writing this there are currently 3 cc threads on the front page out of thirty threads. i guess which one is more annoying, that or a cc thread thats always on top. i personally dont mind either.

lol. after looking at my comment again im not sure if it comes off as sarcastic. i just really wasnt sure if they could help or not but i know theres a lot of smart guys over there and they always have all the new tools and software for hacking roms. the only reason i know about the site is cause its my goto for game translations.
