sounds like most people when they start. heres my advice. go to google and read everything about lsdj. manuals, tutorials, patches. read all of it. seriously. then make a song that feels like it took forever to write. ask for critisism on that song and see what people say. if your still having fun when these tasks are completed pat yourself on the back. its exciting to share what your working on but when your song has a lack of variation it shows that you have a long way to go with understanding the program and everyone in here can spot it quick. oh and if anyones responses seem cold take it with a grain of salt, theyre not usually trying to be.

well i have ran the demo through lameboy on my ds and used save states to keep the little diddy i was working on but i cant see this being practical in any way. the way its was explained to me is that olivers one smart dude and made it so you have to buy a cart for any serious use. start selling rocks, i hear thats what the kids do.

as someone whos lurked both sites religiously for years now i can say i agree with you je mappelle. just not on the point that it should be implemented here. i was always under the impression that people on cm were hiding from that kinda thing. i would throw your weight behind ucollective.org which appears to be trying to revive the 8bc vibe. i will say this though, as much as everyone here remembers the negative from 8bc it was always had a  much funner and lighthearted feeling to me. ive always gotten a be elite or gtfo vibe from cm. i know thats not the intention though. to each their own.

i like this. it reminds of being in high school and listening to a bunch of msi, they were always talking about being the shit and then denying it and alienating there audience at the same time. not that this is the same but still. but  i guess i feel like expressing that you want people to fuck off and hyping your stuff attracts the same thing , which is attention. i dont mind either.

yeah i saw that too. all the tunes are from awhile ago. really all my google powers could find was his myspace, last fm, the soundcloud, and discogs had a link to a russian website with a dead link. im almost positive his internet presence was kaboshed. at least as uoki toki (crosses fingers)

hey guys, so theres a thread right now about dubstep influenced chip that got me thinking about uoki toki. people from cm have helped before when i ask about long lost artist so i thought id see if anyone knows of his whereabouts. all websites are defunct or abandoned, i know he posted some pictures a while back on 8bc (rip) of him like in the military with guns and game boys, but i think thats the last anyones heard of him. maybe someone knows him personally or hopefully he abandoned the name and is hiding under a different alias. thanks guys.

so i hadnt used tt in awhile but the iphone app has made it pretty accesible feeling at the moment. but ive noticed that while there are plenty of chip rooms they are always empty. it wasnt like this before so i didnt know if theres a secret room im unaware of (does it work like that?) or if no one cares anymore. i met some cool people and heard some cool tunes and am i hoping im just not doing something right. anyone care to comment?
