Depends. I know of at least one non-relative whose dreams I found interesting.

Yeah, I think it can be generally said that "people find their own dreams more interesting than other people's," but I think other people's dreams can be really interesting. I always liked reading these: http://autofish.net/clysm/dreams/index.html

The last song on this is really good; it has a more interesting and polished sound than the rest, and the weird intro part is my favorite part of the album, even though it is the least chiptune. I also enjoyed the second song. The songs are all mostly pretty simple, though, and I wish they'd develop more and have more elaborate arrangements. Also, there are some parts (especially on songs 3 and 4) where out of key notes have a kind of disruptive effect.

Still, this definitely shows potential. Keep on writing! And don't worry about being purist, I don't think most people here care about that too much.

Thanks! It's gonna be a lot more fun than the Hero Core soundtrack, with a lot of classic rock 'n' roll, blues, and heavy metal influences. I forgot to mention it above but there are other preview tracks you can hear on my SoundCloud page, like this demo of the final boss track:

I'm working on a soundtrack for a game some friends of mine are making. It's a "surreal science fiction romantic stoner period horror spaghetti screwball cybernoir dinopunk select-your-own-journey audiogame" called Dinosaurs in Pakistan, and it's my first time using the NES/FamiTracker to compose (though some songs are still done in Skale Tracker).

You can check out a preview of it here:

yeah, I don't think re-rendering the old ones is necessary.

I think qb's probably right. The intro is really cool, but after watching a couple of videos with it I started wishing it wasn't there. The intro would be great if you were doing, like, some kind of news video, but if it's just music, I think the visualizer provides more than enough cohesion between videos.

This is fantastic stuff.

I think the panning is cool and makes a cool contrast with the parts that are mono. It pans so quickly that it almost sounds like an instrument in each channel that has tremolo on it, though, so it'd sound really different if you took the panning out, enough to where I can't say which way would be better without hearing it.

I'm no expert on mixing, but the tracks sound good on my headphones and my terrible speakers, so I'd say they're fine.

One of these days I'll take you up on this.

Do you do have some samples of your non-pixel art stuff? The only musical projects I have that are near release need non-pixelly covers.

Sweet. Also, looks like there's a different release of yours that I totally missed, so all in all a good day.

These are a couple of my best tracks if you want to feature them:

Great! Glad it lived up to your hopes and dreams and also that the disk didn't melt in the mail/get confiscated by the government/mysteriously erase itself.

I like both of the new intros; they're both stylish in different ways. I agree that if you use the new one you should cut out the "normal" wave at the beginning; best to keep it as short as possible. Also, I don't really care for that little explosion thing that happens when the logo appears. Good luck with this, though. I think it's a good idea.
